Vikings

Zeb and other Vike fans, now you are beginning to find out what we as Packer fans have come to know all the years #4 was here-and the reason so much fan passion is ignited over him-the games outcome rides on his shoulders always. No matter what the surrounding cast is-the Reggies-Jareds-Petersons or whoever, the load falls to Brett to win the game. It's a heavy and big load-and he has lived up to it almost, not always, but almost all the time. So as I said earlier, I am crossing the line and pulling for a Viking win-because and only because of #4 and what he did when he was here.

George, that was Totally great, I agree fully and I hope your prayer works.......Bob

Our Favre-ther who art in Mississippi hallowed be thy name. Thy bowl will come, it will be won, In Miami as it is in the Dome. Give us this Sunday, Our weekly win. Give us touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the Super Bowl. For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Purple People Eaters now and forever. Amen.

Beautiful.......................

I think it's safe to say that the success of the Vikings this year is without a doubt because of Farve. Say what you want about the others, peterson, allen, harven, rice etc.. but Farve has been the catalyst. Ya have to trust #4 to do he's best at. Go Vikes...

Glad to see we have the ultimate band wagon jumper on board, a packer fan. :10sign::thumbsup: Glad to have em on board. We welcome you with open arms. you will not be required to wear a bag over your head either, you just have to wear purple. Socks, thong, shirt, hat, gloves, dont matter. Even purple beer or cheese at the local pub will do.
Now Give us thy touchdowns, as we give no touchdows against us, Amen.
Great prayer Zeb, I will still be on the floor laughing tomorrow.

I always root for NFC North teams in the playoffs. I get tired of hearing the NFC North is a weak division and that NFC North teams have a soft schedule because of it. Aside from that though, the Vikes have a short window of opportunity with Favre to get to the promised land and I hope he takes them there.

It must be tough for Vikes fans who remember all the great teams they've had over the past 40 years, the 4 Super Bowls, one of the best coaches in NFL history (Bud Grant)... and yet no rings. So put me on that bandwagon too FC. I'm pulling for #4 and the Vikes because they just (insert Chris Berman's voice here) ...COULD...GO...ALL...THE...WAY!!!

I'm a die hard Vikings fan. Got to pay more attention to other parts of these forums.:eek:
I thought before the loss to the Cards then again at Chicago the Vikes have the best team with the best all around talent. Still think so in the talent department.
Vikes are up and down capable of having a bad game. To beat Dallas Vikings won't have room for even the little mistakes. Penalties may make the difference in the game. If we say, exchange a turnover or two the team that takes advantage will win.
I'm going to say the "boys" are the better team right now.:(
Dang! I hope I'm wrong!
Oh yeah I've been a Viking fan from day 1, I easily remember all the BIG letdowns.

I must admidt, Greenbay does have a heck of a team too. Just funnen with you packer fans. We might be whining when Brett retires, our qb hopes are not so impressive when he's gone. Just hope he get's her done this year.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the cowboys win in a low scoring game, both defense's are really good and depending on how the two qbs play .Romo could have a complete brain fart and blow the whole thing and brett could revert back to him throwing ints. With that said I hope the cowboys win if they don't i will be pulling for the vikes and AD the rest of the way. GO COWBOYS!!!!!

Man, if you can't like the Vikes now then when they heck will ya?

I grew up with Fran Tarkenton, John Gilliam, Carl Eller and Alan Page. I'm as excited about this Vikings team now team as i ever was then.

My Dad was a season ticket holder and poo-poohed the vikes so bad all the time he must have been an under-cover packers fan :p

I guees the game is designed to determine who is the better team. Vikes by 14.

CALFROPE..........UNCLE..........I GIVE...........OUCH - in the words of most of my students...the Cowboys sucked.

Predictions...

Good game today.

Dang, that prayer of mine really worked. Guess I'll have to work on another one for next week. (Truth be told, I didn't write the first one. Got it from a friend in an email) But man, oh man, did the Vikes put an old fashion a$$ whoopin on the Cowboys. I was lovin it! And I think that last touchdown was just a little payback for the "Hail Mary" in '75. Like Jimmy Johnson said after the game about that last touchdown, "If the Cowboys don't like it and don't want them to score. Then stop 'em".

Next week should be interesting. But if the Vikings defense can play like they did today the Vikes just might be Superbowl bound.

Vikings will take another one in New Orleans. It's going to take alot of practice making sure that silent snap count is working on offense. It's darn loud in the Superdome.
We need to get out to a fast start and keep those Saints fans in shock and awe and we'll do just fine.

Like Jimmy Johnson said after the game about that last touchdown, "If the Cowboys don't like it and don't want them to score. Then stop 'em".

Exactly. Did any catch Bradshaw's comment on the vikings scoring that last touchdown and running up the score. Geez... what is his problem.

Put your foot on their neck and don't let'em up.

We'll need another stellar performance next week. I think we can get'r done though.

ok i will take my crow with some hienz 57 sauce, i give it up to the vikes i will be pulling for them the rest of the way, glad my you youngest boy had baseball practice and did not have to watch the whole game, and just when i started to get my hopes up for the cowboys. go vikes!
