Vikings

Right now I would guess the Vikes will be the 3 seed and have to play a wildcard game. It really doesn't matter because there isn't a team in the playoffs that the Vikings can beat right now. After such a promising start I afraid the Vikes will be one and done in the playoffs. And if that is the what happens Chilly should get the boot!

Well it took till the 2nd 1/2 but the O looks back on track some. I don't know what the D needs but two Key players hurt does not seem to help at all, two bad about the missed xtra point. But the bears wanted that one worse. Great game fun to watch.

I recall somebody a few pages back talking about the vikings choking.

Same person said the pack would beat the queens if they met in the playoffs. Wonder if that'll come true too?

Ummm...yeah, I think that was... YOU! :D

But yeah, I now believe Green Bay is capable of beating the Vikes, even in the Metrodome. Regardless of the outcome, it would be a helluva fun game to watch, that's for sure.

Vikings played horrible in the first half thanks to Bevell and Childress. (Playcalling) Favre showed what he can do in the 2nd half by calling the plays.

Also, Peterson fumbled, but what about a facemasking penalty???? Refs were horrible...................We still could have won that game if this penalty gets called like it should have. I didn't see it last night, but watched it today on you tube, it's clearly a facemask.

Vikings still have a good chance, don't give up on them. I can't stand people that jump on/off the bandwagon. Let Favre run the show and see what happens, just like last night in the 2nd half. That was the team that has won all the games this year.

?

what is really going on up there you guys here more than us down here.Something is wrong like dilfer said there is something going on between #4 and childress or whoever what does the radio guys say up there?

Labman,

Great idea. Get rid of Chilly and let Favre be a player/coach. They actually might have a chance then. :D

It's clear Favre had more input into the call playing in the second half and 4th quarter in particular. It's got to be hard for him to sit on the sidelines and see the special teams and defense squander away all the success he was having.

Who are those imposters dressed as Vikings offensive linemen anyway??:p

When the Vikes signed #4, they handed the offense over to him. That was the deal when Chilly got on a jet and flew to Mississippi last summer... and he knew it.

Who thinks #4 ran the offense today? Kings are back but even Favre admitted he is not sure which team shows up on any given Sunday. TJack needs more time on the field. Bye week will be nice for the Kings.

The giants looked like midgets today.

Don Banks at SI for one...

In the last six days or so, I think we found out definitively who the 2009 Vikings really belong to. They're Brett Favre's team. Not Adrian Peterson's. Minnesota's pass-first mentality is all the way back, and Favre's four-touchdown, 316-yard passing performance against the Giants -- in just 2½ quarters -- underlines that the Vikings will only go as far as No. 4 takes them this season.

Peterson is not an afterthought in the Minnesota offense, but he's clearly not the Vikings' first thought either. Peterson hasn't logged a 100-yard rushing game since Week 10. Favre, on the other hand, is once again on fire. Starting with the beginning of the third quarter in Monday night's overtime loss to the Bears, he has completed 46 of 62 pass attempts, for 619 yards and six touchdowns. Not bad for an old guy in just a little bit more than one full game.

And to think that when this thing started the so called experts thought Favre would just have to manage the offense with AP in the backfield. No need to have to throw 300 plus yards with AP in the backfield... yada.. yada.. yada.

The only reason the Vikings are in the playoffs IS because of what Bret has done. He has elevated the games of players around him, especially Shianco and Rice. Deep down I think Chilly realizes this, but may be having a hard time excepting it. Let Bret do his thing and they will be fine.

I do have one question though and I may be a little critical but... How is it that McKinnie and Hutch were selected to the Pro bowl after what I consider a very mediocre performance by the offensive line this year?

Thank You to those "CowGirls"........

Road to Miami now will come through Minnesota. Saints will lose.....

According to some that are close to the team, Darrell Bevell called the plays in the first half and second half of that Bears loss......Neither Favre or Childress called them. So, I'm not sure what to think. The Vikings now know their identity, and that is that they are a passing team first, running team second. Nice to be able to fall back on a stud like AP if the passing game is/isn't working though. We'll see what happens. It's do or die now.

Vikings could very well be hosting the Green Bay Packers in 2 weeks. What a game that would be!!!!!!!!!
