Let's take a look at the statistics: http://www.nfl.com/stats/team

Total Offense: Green Bay's ranked 7th in the league, Minnesota's ranked 8th.
Total Defense: Green Bay's ranked 3rd in the league, Minnesota's ranked 12th.
Passing Offense: Green Bay's ranked 7th in the league, Minnesota's ranked 10th.
Pass Defense: Green Bay's ranked 7th in the league, Minnesota's ranked 21st.
Rushing Offense: Minnesota' ranked 10th in the league, Green Bay's ranked 11th.
Rush Defense: Minnesota's ranked 3rd in the league, Green Bay's ranked 4th.

In spite of those statistics, I agree that Minnesota's a better football team this year. They've beat Green Bay twice and they're 9-1. But the statistics don't support your argument that Green Bay "isn't on the same level" as Minnesota or that Green Bay's secondary "is terrible" (their pass defense is ranked MUCH higher than Minnesota's). You're right about Green Bay's offensive line though. That and their special teams have been their achilles heel all year. If they can improve in those two areas, they could be in the mix at playoff time. Although the old cliche is "it's tough to beat a team 3 times in the same season", I don't think Green Bay could beat the Vikings on their home turf in the playoffs. Green Bay's defense can contain Peterson but Favre's just got too much experience.
 
Watching the Saints as I write this and they appear to be dismantling the Patriots. What a NFC Championship that would be Saints/Vikes. :thumbsup: Still alot of football left, but I'm liking the Vikes chances the farther we get into this thing.

Watching the same game that would be a great game no matter who has home field adv. and I believe the vikings have the edge I don't see the saints stopping Peterson (SP?) their run defense is still questionable.

The Saints offense is really good or Pats defense really bad. First time watching the Saints and they are FAST. Saints will be tough to beat. If the Vikes can knock them off their rythym they might stnad a chance. Farve will be the edge I hate to say but Brees is playing just as good.
 
I watched the game also. I have some doubts if the viking defense can contain Brees and crew. I think we will find out when and If they play.......Bob
 
I wish they played during the regular season, it will just depend on that day when it comes on who wants it more. Both great teams.:thumbsup: but They have not realy changed the team that much since the vikes played them last have they, personal wise? except coaches,And I believe they beat them then, I could be wrong.

I said the queens aren't much better I didn't say the packers were as good. Big difference. Queens beat the packers 2 times because they are slightly better one of the games could have very easily went the other way. 3 more wins ain't alot considering 2 of those games were against each other. Packers have the number 1 ranked defense and number 6 offense (according to the evening new) and they are playing better than they were when they played the queens both times. They are still having pass protection problems, rogers still doesn't know how to throw it away, and they get to many penalties. I think a playoff game between the 2 could go either way but the queens are more likely to choke cause thats what they do.

Give me a break. I could name numerous times they've choked, as you call it. The Packers aren't as great as what you guys make them out to be.

Vikings have a much better team than the Packers. We swept you guys. How do you consider them close? You had your chance at Lambeau/Thompson field.
 
Queens playoff/superbowl/national championship records speaks volumns. They are famous for choking. Most reasonable Mn. fans know this. I really hope they make it to the big game. Cause we all know what'll happen and they will have the sole ownership of the record for the most losses in the superbowl/national championship.

You must not ever venture into places where fans of both teams hang out or on any other hunting boards with both Mn. and Wi. fans cause this is mild and all in good fun.
 
You can't tell me the Vikings aren't one of the most complete teams in the NFL. They are very good in all three phases of the game.
If we can knock Brees down a few times and pressure him constantly during the game, we will win that game. AP will be big in the playoffs.
 
No doubt the vikings are good damn good infact but I do think if they meet post season the pack has a good chance of beating them.

As far as the Wisconsinite who hunts and backs Obama. Wtf about covers that.

Well no one could hope that Favre would be playing as good as he is (best of his career according to the sports guys). With names like AP, Rice, Harvin, Jared, Williams Bro's, etc. Iam am encouraged as I have ever been about a vi-queens superbowl possibility. With the Saints in the way they will have to earn there bread to get past them whether they beat them or someone else does.

The injuries are starting to come out of woodwork as season presses on.

Saints are FAST! Reminds me of Grudens Tampa Bay Bucs in their heyday.
