Vikings

what the heck?

I expected this thread to be alive with chatter after yesterdays steelers victory. I for one was way too emotionally engaged in the game. maybe it was becuase of all the seamingly bonehead plays the Vikings exhibited. IN the end I think the penalties and turnovers killed them.

I've never seen so many big fat guys run back turnovers for touchdowns. Where was all the speed at to catch them?????

Oh well, I don't think being undefeated counts for anything since the season begins at the playoffs anyway.

Looking forward to the pack/vikes game next Sunday on FOX at 3pm. Pack looks pretty good but I pcik the Vikes by 3. Any other picks?

We all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. But I am going to ask a question I shouldn't. Why is it when a Midwest or Western football team plays a true eastern team. All the ref's suddenly make most of the calls in their favor? I have seen it too many times to be a fluke.......Bob

I'm still standing by my earlier response of being cautiously optimistic of the overall outcome of the season. LOTS of football left. I'm still not convinced they will be a contender for anything further than just a first round playoff game.

WE SHALL SEE.......

They gave it away. If you take away the two 4th quarter turnovers that were both deep in Steeler territory, the Steelers end the game with 13 points and the Vikes would have gotten at least 2 field goals. Could easily have been Vikes 23 - Steelers 13. The Vikes pretty much out played them otherwise. Next week in Packerland will be another test.

It's good for the vikes to lose 1. Humbles a team and will light a fire under their a$$

Vikings looked really good besides the penalties. I thought the ref's were horrible, that leg whip call was awful. Also, what about the late hit by Harrison on Favre. "Big Ben" is such a cry baby, he begs for the flag and gets it. That bugs me I guess. I hope we go into Green Bay and play our "A" game. This team looks like they can do some great things. Great job by Sydney Rice, Favre looks very good at age 40, unreal.....

How about loser buys dinner at Pheasant Fest in Des Moines?

You're on Chris. But if I can't make it to PF, how about loser buys winner 2 boxes of his favorite shells?

The Pack may have the home field advantage in this one but the Vikes are a better team right now and Favre usually comes back with a strong performance after a tough loss. I'll still take the bet though. :D

Gooo Colts!!!!

I am a Colt fan from way back but I got to say the midwest teams in general never get the respect they deserve because all the big press is East or West Coast. Nobody even took a second glance at the Saints till they put it to the Giants. It is great to see Farve off to a good year and Warner last year was awesome.

Saints are a good looking team right now. If the Packers beat the Vikings, which could happen, I love the remaining schedule for the Vikings to do some damage in the NFC. It could very well be Saints vs. Vikings in the NFC Championship.

Go Vikings.......

I will be hunting back in SD near Geddes. But, the game will be recorded and watched to a few beers.....

colts

Peyton manning is the besrt qb i have seen in my lifetime i have never seen a qb that can come up to the line and knoe exactly what to do you cant blitz him or he will opt out and beat you!Now as far as my fav qb that would be the one and only #4 go vikes!

I'll be glued to the set this Sunday. On Fox NFL Sunday, Bradshaw interviews Favre. That should be interesting as Bradshaw was very critical before the season started of Favre coming out of retirement again this year.

S It could very well be Saints vs. Vikings in the NFC Championship.

Maybe... Although the Cardinals may have something to say about that. And the Cowboys looked good against the Falcons last week. Vikes do have a very favorable schedule I will admit.

The Queens are King for a day. Farve got er done at Lambeau. Handed the pack their arrses.

Just another record for the giant of football. That boy just plays the game. I have alot of respect for him.

I'm looking forward to postseason play with experienced champ at the helm.
