Pheasant hunting has caused a regression in my life, as in I brush all else aside at an opportunity to hunt. I don't see it this way, but I've got rose colored glasses on when I think about just one more chance to follow behind Skye as her tail wiggles sniffing 'round for a loafin' rooster. What I'm trying to say is, as long as the season is still open somewhere, I can't get it off my mind. Between the long range forecast and tryin' to finagle a few days off, If I can swing it, I'll be out somewhere in a (hopefully) lonely field in South Dakota looking for one more pheasant. Skye turned 10 a few days ago, but she's been hunting all season, is doing good, and I know she'd love to go. I know one thing I'll never regret is spending just a little more time with her out on the prairies and wetlands.
