Roo makes it hard to shoot them quail. Three of the pheasants came off of my dad’s old place. Was starting to see some Monday was turning into a nice day. Ran out of ground. Hadn’t done that one this year except for the family hunt. Getting out there and walking it by my self is probably my favorite day of the year.

Skadergen thanks. Yep she’s a Boykin. I think of her as my baby and sometimes treat her that way, she’s a lot of fun. She got to retrieve 3 pheasants a quail and a jack rabbit. That one was funny. I shot a yote landowners preference I called her back I don’t think she would have known what to do with that one.

Carp they hammered them out where we went that one year. The gal I think I’m going to get my Boykin from was hunting with them. Up from Georgia 60 mile an hour winds. She’s the Boykin whisperer. Wish I could afford to have her train and finish one.

I’ve kinda always been intrigued by them haven’t seen one in years. Had one on my short list for the last few months, but made a commitment on a Brittany( won’t get it until May).

They were thick in those wood piles for sure. My good shooting days are behind me for sure. Trying to get back some physicality as I have had a series of ailments. If I get back into some kind of form maybe we can hook up next year. Raven has turned into a pretty decent dog
