Vikings News

The Pack dominated that game in the trenches on both sides of the ball! Just like football is supposed to be played. Ponder got pounded and when he did complete a pass, the receiver typically had nowhere to go. Teddy wouldn't have made a bit of difference in this one. Seems like these visiting teams do not want to play on Thursday nights. I'll stop now and not rub it in too much.:D

Vikes just are having personel problems 1's ap then Teddy. Pounder got thrown to the wolfs last night. No snap time or not enough.......

Local radio KFAN here in Twin Cities has Fran Tarkenton on every Friday afternoon during the Football season. Always entertaining listening to scrambling Fran talk, he so brutally honest and animated with his opinions.

Anyway, he was talking about the game last night and specifically said Christian Ponder should get on with his life as he simply doesn't have what it takes to play at the professional level. He goes on to say that natural talent is not something that can be coached up.... In other words you either have what it takes or you don't, simple as that. He used the great players on the Vikes in his day as an example, Allen Page, Carl Eller and Jim Marshall all could would have been the same regardless of who was coaching them. Even Bud Grant himself has been an adamant preacher that it's players that win games, not coaches.

Agree with him or not, he is always entertaining to listen to and you have to admit, he played the game at a high level for 18 years at the QB position, so I would tend to take his word on Ponder's future as a QB at the pro level.

Oh... and he really likes Bridgewater. Says he has that "something" provided he stays healthy, to be a real good QB.

Just read on the web that according to an ESPN reporter the Vikings have severed relations with Adrian Peterson and it is expected that he will be released even if his case is resolved.

I was kind of giving AP the benefit of the doubt. But then I read where he has fathered 6 children with 6 different women. The guy is a slime ball and if the Vikings let him go it's a good move. Someone needs to take AP in for a vasectomy or maybe a de-nut job.

Yeah Zeb, that is common knowledge now about all of his children with several women. But remember Adrian and what he said in his own words a few weeks ago "The way I was raised, made me the man I am today".

Couldn't agree more.....

The report on Peterson and the Vikings ties being severed is John Clayton's (ESPN) opinion on what he thinks will happen. The Vikings have not done anything as of yet.

Personally, I see him in a Cowboy's uniform next year.....

I heard or read somewhere that he may get re arrested for bond violation for Marijuana use.

Yeah and that also violates the terms of his bail. The judge could rule that he remains in jail pending the outcome of his trial. The defense is already asking for a new judge.

This thing just keeps getting better with time. Kind of like a good whiskey.

We won't even mention his alleged involvement in an orgy that supposedly took place in 2011 at a local twin cities hotel. One in which his minor brother (at the time) was involved and paid for according to sources from his charities credit card. This of course has not been proven yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't true.

No.. But we are in the world of computers and twitter. If the media, press you name it smells blood in the water you damn well better believe their going to dig up every Skelton anyone might be hiding in their closet and before you know it, it's national news.

BS... Maybe , but i wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't.

After further review the Vikings still suck! Lol had to do it.

But serious, 90% of these pro athletes are over paid thugs. Doesn't matter if they play football, baseball, basketball, hockey or anything in between.

On a different note the Wild look good tonight

LMAO, like media is always spot on this day and age LOL. The world is going bat crap crazy over half truth tv garbage. Hard to believe people buy in to this crap. "it must be so because joe blow tv nut job says so LOL.

Nobody said they were always spot on??

AP is an idiot. This recent incident with smoking weed just proves that.

 Never said they were right when I reported what I read on the web. Right or wrong, AP certainly hasn't used very good judgment. 6 kids with 6 women. AP needs to start thinking with his big head, not the little one. Now the smoking dope just before a known drug test. What an idiot. Great football talent but that's about where his talent ends. Vikes need to let him go and move on.

Being there is no good Vikings news.

Kinda funny though?

The Seahawks stole from us one Percy Harvin for a #1 draft choice. Plus a couple other considerations??

Petes big "I GOT the GUY NOW" !!!!!! thing:rolleyes:

Anyway Percy is gone to the Jets for a 4th round to be determined draft pick.

SO go figure??:

Percy got his ring. Played in only a few games. Has trouble staying healthy. Going to a team who's Qb struggles at best to throw the ball when guy's are open. Do not see him in the NFL for very much longer! Vikings have there QB now and they are not going to be bottom feeders in the future.

Just goes to show ya how much of a cry baby Harvin is when he thinks he's not getting enough touches. A cancer to the team. Good luck Jets....

Something I didn't know is Harvin caught Favre's 507 and 508 Record TD's... Soon to be broke I hope.

Vikes piss one down their leg today. I looked at their schedule for the rest of the season and if they don't beat Tampa next week I doubt there will win another game all year. Defense has been pretty good (except for the last 2 minutes today) but the offense really sucks. Teddy looks like a real rookie, the running game is almost non-existent, offensive line is terrible and the receivers don't know how to get open. What a total disappointment for the year.

Rookies @ the QB position generally will struggle. Not everyone is Andrew Luck. Some get by with athletic ability for a while. Season 2 or 3 if he is having the same problems, then it will be time to worry. Get another good draft this year and get it turned around. Crazy NFL season. Who would of thought the Saints would be stinking it up and the Seahawks already with 3 losses and the Cowboys on fire?

Teddy is shell shocked (for good reason)

Kalil has his millions in the bank and his mind is off somewhere else then football, (pheasant hunting?) maybe.:)
They are bad offensively  Can't think of a bright spot?

Defense does their part, mostly.

Hey! how about the Golden Gophers
Not ready for the "Big Show" but funt to watch.

Go Gophers! They are ranked 24 in the US Today Coaches poll.

The U of M is just one of 4 colleges I attended before I finally got my degree! :) Had to flunk out of a couple and then visit Uncle Sam for 3 years before I got my head screwed on right. Dang, college was easy when you went to class and read the assignments. Just took me a while to figure that out. :D
