UPH Hunt

The field is big. Maybe we do two start times. Say 8am and 10am. Who wants to be there at 8 and who wants to start at 10? I know we can run 2 groups in the field no problem.

I would be on for the 10 AM start.

Jon
I don't have you on the list . That my fault. Pointer flusher? Also who want to start at 8am and who want to start at 10am. Zeb as for format im was just thinking we just have 2 groups at a time run 2-3 people per group. Keep it simple and low key. I don't really want to get into anything to competitive since we are all out just to have some fun.

TBear Jon runs the best dog around! A flushing golden retriever.

Wish I could make it but 1100 miles might be a stretch...you guys have fun!

Thanks for the kind words, "Golden Boy" a.k.a. Joel. Wait until you see Joel's Golden work a field and retrieve birds in high tangled weeds - not to be believed! My Golden will work with either a pointer or flusher; he's not a ranging dog and will point birds that aren't moving.

uph hunt

Thought it over & it's a 4 - 5 hr drive one way. I have other commitments that weekend so cannot stay over some place. Will not make it but would like to.

Just to update, I'm still in and anytime that day works for me. Will be bringing my 2 year old GSP.

Not going to make it again guys. River cost me 4 grand to save her life at the vets. So no trials, no fun, no money LOL. Just a half dead dog and a fishin pole for me this spring. Have a good time and post some pics again.

Imune imediated thrombocidapedia. Something like that. No I am not confident on spelling LOL. Your white blood cells attack you platelets killing your bodies ability to clot. Normal count is 150,000 low end to 600,00. She was 9,000. You will bleed out till you croak. Blue Pearl turned her around and she is doing well now. Hope after she is weaned off meds she does it on her own. Its an auto immune reaction to an unknown source. Tics, vaccine something. She should make a full recovery, but will be spay, and can never have shots for anything the rest of her life. Thanks, but you guys focus on your fun and enjoy. Enough about me LOL. We will survive.

Glad your dog is responding well to recent health complications and seems to be on the mend.

Spoke with a friend at church this morning; heartworm is alive and well - and suggested keeping the pills going. I learned my lesson on my last dog who contracted the disease from an infected bug, late in the fall. $750 to cure...

I've lost two dogs to something similar. Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. It's where the immune system attacks the red blood cells and the dog becomes extremely anemic and will die. Treatment is pumping them full of steroids to suppress the immune system. Didn't work for me. Glad to hear River is on the mend.

FYI, doubt I'm going to make it to the hunt.

George - sorry you aren't attending, but understand the long drive and only an hours? worth of hunting. Guess I'll have to hold up the senior entry. Hope the young boy's can keep up...good luck with your field trials.

Hi, I am still on for this hunt. Bringing my 10 yr old GSP. I would prefer a 10am start. Coming from Bloomington, southwest metro. Anyone coming from my area want to carpool up there?

I'm on the early shift. Otherwise I would pick you up.

Steel or Lead

I spoke with Sand Pines this morning and inquired about steel or lead shells. Either type is Ok.

See you Saturday!
