So western WA pheasant just kicked off here in Washington. I got my 11 month old Britt back from the trainer and she is a machine so far.
But have been feeding Taste of the Wild wildfowl, which has good protein and fat content. It's only 350 calories per cup. She has been losing a little weight and we are feeding about 4-5 cups a day. Now that I am hunting her want to get her on a once daily feeding. Have been looking at Pro Plan. It is 540 calories per cup and seems decent. Honestly scared off because of all the crap Purina has put out in the past.
Anyone using it? Any other recommendations on a high calorie 30/20 food for a working dog? Not wanting to feed twice a day from now till middle January when hunting season is over. But want to do her right when it comes to nutritional needs. Now aiming for Senior Hunter and some Field Trials next year.
