I have not met anyone yet but there are sure some good characters on here. If I ever get back to Iowa to hunt (depending on bird #'s), I wouldn't mind sharing a day afield with some of the guys here. We normally spend opening week in SD around the Pierre area but we really like to traverse across the state and see all the different areas.
 
Forum has Real Social Value

This is a very good thread. There are alot of Uphers, I hope to one day share a field with, or a duck or goose blind. I'll admit I'm and addict when it comes to Bird hunting and UPH. I am so glade I found this sight, and the great people on here.:cheers:

Had a MN get together this spring
have had a drink or 2 with Zeb and just got back home from having supper with Onpoint and his wife. Even had time to plant a couple birds for the pup and the wife to shoot:thumbsup:

I have personally met 5 from this site and hunted with 4 of them and have talked to several others on the phone the one's I have hunted with were great and am looking forward to hunting more with them and a couple others

The 1st of my UPH members was here to hunt and we had a grand time chasing the South Dakota state bird--a very good start I must say:cheers:

Hey Jim, I'm still planning on getting together with you later in the season. Once I get back from my Colorado elk hunt I should have some time. Hunting has sucked here around my new location of Watertown so need to get further west & south where there are some birds. Hope to see you in a month or so. :cheers:
 
Well I've had three UPH members here this fall and for me the season is winding down--it has been a very different year as the birds numbers were down across my minor land holdings ranging from pretty good to dismal-- still we all had fun and I was very pleased with my new hunting friends--gentlemen all :cheers:
 
Met and hunted with a UPH member for my first ever South Dakota pheasant hunt we had a blast and are going back for seconds in mid-December :)

Made good on this in early November. Met Bilbo Baggins and had a great time hunting in western NE. We hope to do it again in coming years. He was very pleasant company, and we had a pretty good hunt in spite of low bird numbers. My wife enjoyed our trip and once again we were blessed with good weather! :cheers:

How do I keep missing these threads?

I have only met in person Goldeneye and his wonderful wife. Outstanding folks. Spent some time PMing back and forth with Dakota Zeb. A very nice guy. I have enjoyed chats and posting with several others. A pretty good group of people here.
 
Haven't met yet but talked to Iowa labs from Sioux falls to Mitchell.
