Thank you DZ! Yes, that is their normal coat length. Well, with one exception. Due to the training and hunting season, they are lacking on ear, tail and leg furnishings.
I realy do think ax could run NASTRA. I just dont have the guts to do it. :p

Just give it a try one time. It's not a big deal. Usually the people at the NSTRA trials are more than willing to help you out. You should at least attend a NSTRA trial and visit with some folks. It's a fun venue, you don't have to take it that serious. There are lots of god dogs running in the MidWest Region.

Tell ya what.........if you ever get to one closer to me, I will come check it out. It would be better to be there with someone I know. I am not a social butterfly.:)
But I do have to train for the NAVHDA Invitational this year. Than after that I can do whatever I want with the jughead.
Thanks Zeb

Last Bay of Fundy mallard hunt in 2012. There is no replacement for a big hearted retriever in this environment (I tried this year and nearly didn't come home)

Opening day 2013, what might be Ruby's last roosters due to a repetitive shoulder tendon injury that I just can't seem to resolve fully. We'll swim our heart out this summer (both of us - i bought a wetsuit so that i can start early) and see what we can to to get her back in action for a last few gentle seasons... But you know these darned gun dogs - no " half throttle"... But she owes me nothing and I owe her everything.

Thanks to all for taking time to post some pics and a few words about your dogs - I love the "brotherhood" of this thread!
