Any dangerous natural features you encounter while hunting?

The day after I bought my started setter for 3k I took him for a run in a hay field with a ditch running beside it. We ran into some turkeys and the dog took off after them. The turkeys flew across an area with no trees because the water had eroded the ditch and cause a nice drop off. At full speed, dog only watching the turkeys, ran off the edge. He disappeared ratter quickly. I could only think telling my wife the dogs done for one day after getting him. Ran over to the ditch, he seemed ok after the launch, helped him out. Never have told my wife this story.
