mid January quail/pheasant hunt to north central Ks. ( staying in Lucas ). Bringing 3 Brittany's and a Lab.

If you don’t already have lodging, you might want to consider one of the cabins at Wilson State Park. It’s a short drive from Lucas. I did the season before last and really enjoyed it.

Gunsmith in or around the Kansas City area

I have an Ithaca SKB 600 12 gauge O/U. I bought it used when I was a junior in High School (35 years ago). It is my favorite gun in the world and has always been my go to upland gun. Recently, I have experienced the bottom barrel (improved cylinder) not firing consistently. So, I switched...

    Lodging/Eating Recommendations

I've been studying the KS WIHA atlas. Planning a trip for the end of the month. I'm thinking about trying the Lane/Ness/Hodgeman counties area. I'd appreciate any tips on dog friendly motels and places to get a good meal. Thanks, Nick

    Advice

Guys, I could really use some advice. My 13 year old black lab had her second major seizure in the last three weeks this morning. This one was worse than the last and lasted about 5 minutes long. During the first one, I tried to wipe the drool from her mouth and she bit my finger. This...

    Practice

Now that another season has passed, I am curious to see how many folks get out and practice with clay birds, etc. in the offseason. If you do, how often? I usually don't practice much, but I'm gonna try to do a little more shooting between now and next season. I also usually use dove season...
