Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic 2012 - Kansas City Feb 17-19

I have exchanged PM's with webguy and I think he is going to try and put a sign-up sheet of some sort on the site. He doesn't think he will be making it to Phez Fest.

I'll ask again. Any of you Kansas/Misouri boys/girls want to be in charge of some kind of get-together????
 
I know Hossdog, I've been kind of surprised at he lack of attention this thread is receiving. Maybe it's the holidays. I'll give it some time after the first of the year and try again.
 
I am having a shirt with embrodery on it with
ultimate pheasant com. junkie
copheasant hunter
made up on it and I have a magnetic sign for the truck with the same info on it.
 
I'll be there on Friday and maybe Sunday. It'd be nice to put a face with a screen name for sure. Does anyone know the seminar schedule for Friday? I looked on the website and they dont list what the seminars are, just that they are having them.
 
I will be there on Friday for sure. In case you missed one of my previous posts, my Brittany, Elle, is in the Bird Dog Parade to kick off the event at noon on Friday.

Perhaps, we could meet later in the afternoon on Friday. I have no idea where as I have never been there before. My wife will be there and also my friend from nearby Bonner Springs, KS. Anyone have any ideas??

Tell you what I will do. If you PM me that you will be there, I'll start a list of attendees. I'll have your "Screen Name" so please include your real name and the city & state you are from. I'll see if I can't put together some name tags.

Any and all ideas are welcome.

if we can figure out how many people will be here, i will help set something up. I work in KC everyday, and have a job that avails me time during the day to set something up. We just need to figure out the particulars.

I wonder if there would be a small meeting room at the KC Convention Center that we could rent cheap. We could all meet there at a pre-determined time. That way those that want to continue to tour the Fest could go back to doing so.

Either that or I am sure we could get an area at a local pub nearby the convention center too for some Apps and Drinks as a possibility too.

Not usre but I suspect any rooms at the convention center may cost some $$ but you never know.
 
Here is another idea. In the last couple Fest's I have attended all the banquets and found them of tremendous value to be able to network with so many PF people.

They have a Fri night dinner, Sat Luncheon and Big Sat banquet. I plan to attend all which would make it difficult for me, and anyone else that plans to attend these, to be able to also attend a UPH gathering which would most likely coincide at roughly the same time.

My suggestion is to use the PF functions as the gathering place. We could easily save enough tables at the dinners for our UPH group and it just seems like a natural fit. And they are fun as well and you have opportunity to socialize with all the chapters, biologists and PF mucky mucks.

Also, I just went on priceline and got a 4 star hotel downtown KC for $63/night and its about 3 blocks from the convention center. :cheers:
 
I would second that. There are plenty of bars and such to go have a drink in around there if need be. Wear plenty of camo, you will strike fear in the douche bags in the P&L district to the east of convention center.

Zeb, perhaps we can get the signup sheet done by using the poll feature. We can set the view public names option to display who is going just to get headcount.

Of course we would need what you are doing with the PM's in order to get full names and name tags.

Just a thought.
 
Waiting to hear if my wife secures the 17th off, if so we will leave early that Friday morning and I will be in attendance for all the banquets. I will wear my best PF shirt so you guys will know me.
 
I will be there all 3 days as well, pretty sure I'm going to do the package with all the banquets and such.
