What in your eyes is a good ammo, that doesn't just wing your rooster. But doesn't tear it up. a good shell that you always use bird hunting?
In ammo I like 308 kates or 50 cal in a barrett. LOL This subject has been beat to death on this site. It's a matter of preference and any thing that goes BOOM, will work. Arkive The guns and ammo forum and any Question about ammo will be covered.
I don't recall a discussion about bird ammunition. What size shot do you think is best?!?
Really doesn't matter to me, I am such a crappy shot I don't ever shoot them up too bad. If I do manage to get one on the ground, my worthless dog will find one once and awhile
The question is actually confusing. He asks what kind of shell, but one that doesn't tear the bird up. Really doesn't matter to me, I am such a crappy shot I don't ever shoot them up too bad. If I do manage to get one on the ground, my worthless dog will find one once and awhile
i have talked to a bunch of pheasant in my life, most of them don't like any of the choices. if you are carrying a cannon like a 12 ga. then 6's are pretty good but if you are on the smaller stuff, use smaller shot, in a 20 ga. # 7 is perfect and for us really capable guys that use a real gun like a 28 ga. 7.5's are the ticket. if you don't like blondes, get a life. ordered a new aya from cablea's and it took them 9 days just to put it in the mail, we are talking pretty big bucks and they just took their sweet xxxxx time like they had the money and that was it. maybe later this week but by then the dove will all have moved out
cheers
We must be twins:cheers:
