UPH get together

Goldeneye,
Thats exactly what I am going to let her do. My dog and I are going to hopefully work all our bugs out the weekend before. My PF chaper called me yesterday and asked if I would guide 4 Vetrans on a hunt at Caribou Gun Club. 2 weekends in a row i don't think it gets any better!

Has anyone heard is UGUIDE and WEB Guy going to show up?
I'll send them both a e-mail. I think that is everyone one the list then? Right:confused:

I stopped at the Minnesota Heartland Preserve this afternoon and visited with a couple of the guys. They were very friendly and more than willing to do whatever we want. Very accommodating. There is still quite a bit of snow there and they aren't letting anyone hunt at this time. Whether the fields will be okay by April 2nd is difficult to determine at this time. I am going to call them in a week to see how it looks and we will have to make a decision at that time.

Ken, you might have missed the above post. I'll be contacting them next week to see how conditions are. I think we will have to make a decision at that time.

Very Cool! I like the Pic I might be bias.:D

UPH Poster child :D

Uguide will be farming in SD and WebGuy said maybe? I tried to bribe him to show? We'll see how good that worked.

I hope were ready the dog did great on retrieves. We needs to work on holding point a bit more I see this year. (He did a couple catwalks on birds but let me flush them) all and all I am happy he remembered how to hunt after the long winter. Hope to see you all soon in Granite Falls.

I think he was at Caribou, Gold I thought you had a lab by the avatar. Nice pic and good to see you have the Lady involved.

Flint is way to skinny to be a Lab. I may have to change the pic.

We were at my friends farm less then 1/2 mile from my house. We ran (Tealdog) and two shorthair pups. The grass is short so we placed hay over the birds which worked really good.

April 2nd

DakotaZeb & ALL,
I definitely plan on attending the April 2nd hunt. Been working lots of O.T.
I would be happy to be a dog handler if someone needs an extra dog afield.
I plan on coming with one dog. Could travel with two if requested to do so.
Looking forward to this event after a brutal winter.
If date is switched let me know asap on here or better yet a PM.
I will probably travel down in the wee hours FRiday night / Sat. morning.
It is 4 hours from my place to Mpls. area. I think I must be looking at about 6 hours DRIVING time as my best estimate.
George,
Will probably leave Victor home. He is my most experienced dog but does not care for pen raised birds. He points them, then just steps in & grabs them.
Wild birds he behaves himself. Will bring either Chase or Grady.

I am sad that I miss represented the pup. I changed the Avatar.
