The great debate!

Actually the truth may be more damning...

True story, I chose the screen name, Toad, because at the time I was planning to buy a lab pup and name him Toad. Found a gwp instead but just couldn't name her Toad. It seemed too demeaning for a graceful lady such as her.

Every word of that is true. :D

Lmao! Thats just wrong. You know thats the exception with springers, not the rule like those flabs.:p:cheers:

The springer spaniel that I gave away (due to a poor nose) 2 years ago to my wife's grandpa is now WAY overweight. He was always extremely athletic and in great shape, I never would have thought he could get fat like that.

Why did you give that Springer away for they all have bad noses!:D

This thread was all fun and games until you guys started making fun of springers!:D

Lol! I never thought of that, its probably true.

2 of the springer pups I just sold went to former lab owners who said they got sick of their friend's springers outhunting their labs.

Another guy whose dad and uncle breed and field trial goldens was getting his second springer because his last one outperformed the Goldens.

Different strokes for different folks.

JS I wouldnt turn this into a serious thread, we are all havin alittle fun here.....

Now back to the hunting prowess and striking good looks of springers. Check out these three handsome devils ready to pick apart a covert near you.

Looks like 3 fabios to me... They pick apart the covert, and then you pick out the burrs.

Wait, how did that get there?

Ahhhh yes. The pure bred Norwegian. They are beautiful. I married one of those.

Great breed (besides the inability to stay quiet for 30 seconds or more):D

Some just learn the long hard way. After you had the rest stick with the best, LOL. Kinda like jail birds, some have to be slapped a few more times then others.:D

Bahaha, obviously they haven't gotten any labs from me then! When I was growing up my dad had a springer that showed up at the neighbor's one day. It was great for 1 bird. After that he would throw up and haul tail home! After taking him to the vet once, an xray showed a bullet in his hip. Gotta give him credit for going out and getting on that first bird anyway.
