Superb work and great patience.Done deal.
Not sure. I shot a ton with it this weekend, and never noticed a difference. Not this fall anyway. Maybe this winter.Great job!
Checkering?
Now you're just showing off.Just got a 2nd gun. Planning on a new set for it as well. Likely will go more figured wood. Now that I have a feel for the madness.
Sorry I missed that LOL. I did a Kick Eez pad sand to fit. She still looks great after a bunch of field trials shot, 3 nationals, training twice a week, and hunting. A few dings. So I might sand her a bit and re oil after this years season. One last national Cocker to shoot, and some regular trials. I never did any checkering. I have 0 issue with grip, and I like the wood look not getting covered up by checkering. I was skeptical that it would be a "need", but it absolutely is not.Gorgeous! Nice to see all that effort coming together for you. Really looking forward to seeing it complete - RU doing a buttplate or pad?
A Pachmayr lightweight F250 brown pad might match up nicely. Congrats on your accomplishment!!
Sorry I missed this. Long over due reply. Yes it was cast for right hand. Hence the odd angle in the photo. Exaggerated by the amount of wood I still needed to sand. I should have posted more pics during the process. Its not that bad. I had help from a good friend who does it, on the phone. Eventually you get there. I will see if I can find the pics and post some more.Great work! Thanks for sharing & keep the pics coming
Is there cast on the stock, or just the angle of the last pic?
