Quail Hunting Pics and Videos

Great clips Steve:10sign:

Keep 'em coming guys! This will be one of the best threads on the site. I'd sure like to have one of those GoPro's, but that'll have to wait until after I get GPS for the dogs.

The GPS for the dog is much more important than the GoPro.

I have another video of Indy today that I will try to post, but I can't get the sound to work.

great video Steve...keep em coming.....I like the slo-mo when the birds are flushing.....you get a good look at em......

Point

A quick shot from today. I rarely take pictures but afterwards always wish I did. All three shags had bloody tails today!!!

SomeBeach, that is a good looking setter.
Some day I am going to have to try those Scalies

Here is a video from todays hunt. Went out with some good friends again today. We did not get into many birds. Indy had this find. The birds were spread out on the side of the hill. Indy points them from a long way off. I can't get a flush to start with, relocate Indy and get one. After this bird is shot we have some more get up well past where this first bird comes up.

I did my typical warning shot, and if they don't stop flying I shoot them for real.
Seriously, I have got to start getting my face down on the gun on the first shot.

great vid Steve....pretty dog on point.....here's some pics of MY Ace pointing a covey on Wed afternoon.....got let out of work half day and had just enough time to get to one of my areas for couple hours of hunting before it got dark. He had a real nice find on a big covey. I doubled to boot! what a great hunt!

I wish it were easier to hunt with a flusher and take action picks. I'll dig through and find a couple.

Opening day this year, we quit when it hit 80.

wow...you guys are on em! great pics......someday maybe I will get to hunt them.

A good spring equals plenty of quail, 2 or 3 good springs in a row equals holy moly there are a lot of birds!
