One shotgun, or do you like a change of pace now and then?

I've got a lot of shotguns--if I buy them they are mine TO KEEP. I'm going to O/U's and mostly smaller gages. This fall hunting with Daktoazeb I drove off and left the 16 O/U in the camper so it was out with the backup 870 12ga--it still kills them dead--pheasnats grouse doves turkeys and waterfowl fell in big numbers to that 870 back in the 80's.:cheers:

?.....SDJ explain yourself :eek::confused:

OK: sleep in camper -- drive off to go hunting -- leave gun in camper -- arrive at field to hunt -- discover gun missing -- get backup gun from under back seat -- go hunting -- have good time -- whats to explain? :D

LOL, I have had guys come up deer hunting for 10 days and forget their shells and clip for the gun 200 miles away. Turns their high priced deer gun into a single shot..LOL

This year I shot two shotguns...my new Benelli Super Vinci and my Benelli Super Nova. My main gun was the Super Vinci so I did have to get my Super Nova out so she wouldn't think I'd forgotten about her...lol! I did have the opportunity to shoot my uncle's Silver Pigeon V., amazing gun but I have to say I like the Browning Citori much better....I think that'll be my gun purchase this year....definately an over and under.

Always shootin' my 625 Citori 12 ga.

Depends on day weather condition, where I am at, and what I feel like. EX; bad weather day I use my tried and true nova, nice day in central IA my OU, up in NW IA Berretta Teknys. And then sometimes to rellive my youth I bust out the 870 youth 20.

If I was smart I'd sell my other shotguns and just use my 870 supermag. I shoot it the best,I don't mind the weight,and I can shoot any sized shell from it reliably and it patterns good.

16 GA SXS EARLY AND THE 20GA SXS LATE. Took Browning B-2000 auto out once only and shot thee straight on a short hunt in the backyard. That gun swings like a sxs but I have not shot it much this year.

I shoot a BPS everytime, which one just depends on the weather. I have too many to count.

Most always a SxS. Sometimes 16 ga., sometimes 12 ga. Bought an 1100 12 ga. After shooting old doubles my whole life I'm never really sure if that light kickin 1100 actually went off or not. The older I get it seems to be a 16 ga. SxS more and more often.

1187 special field. Going in for its second overhaul, yes here are better shotguns out there but not with the memories.

Well I don't know how you describe better, but if so not by much. The 1100-1187 series can still hold it's own with anything out there. :cheers:

I'm a one gun guy. I sold all my other shotguns because they never got used so why keep them around? I sure like my Beretta.

Last year I was gifted an old Ithaca 37 featherlight, I'm not sure of the year. I am still debating about whether to hunt with it myself or save it for one of my daughters... I could never sell it for sentimental reasons, and it would warm my heart to see my daughter carrying it. Then again, I would probably enjoy shooting it from time to time also. ;)

Ha! I was waiting for a Model 12 to show up! If someone asked me what gun I could carry if my life depended on killing a cockbird, I'd take my Model 12, 12 with the full. Probably shot more birds with it than any of the others and sure, I miss with it plenty, but there's something about it that instills confidence in me. That said, last weekend, I started getting pretty fond of my new Miroku Sweet 16!

my old stevens 16 gauge side by side is the best for corn rows,can't be beat. my ithaca 37 12 gauge for everything else.
