For the January hunt or this November hunt? The two threads kinda got mixed together.
 
Is there any thought about a hunt earlier than Jan. 15th? I have a buddy with a new Brit that always talks about going to KS for quail/pheasant, but I have to work a trade show around the 15th-20th.
 
If someone wants to set something up for November, go for it. I can find all the hunting buddies I need that time of season, which is kinda goofy b/c every year we hunt in November, then everyone wants to sit around and bitch about hunting in the heat. This is why I like January hunting so much. Besides, the WIHA can be pretty decent that time of year....beat up w/ skiddish birds sure, but not every parcel is going to be loaded with people.

I will most likely forfeit a November gathering, but will not miss the January one for anything. If you guys are coming in November, get together while you're here. Making new friends is good any month. I plan to create some great new friendships in January!

I'm with KB january is the best time for me things are winding down and there are alot of places that no one wants to hunt becouse its to big or to hairy
 
I agree with the January hunt but this thread started as a November hunt. This is not the same thread as the one in the hunting group builder that GSP started. That is why I asked.

No problem, in fact, my mistake. I apologize for confusing the thread.

You guys will have a lot of birds to chase during November. My boy is turning 8 years old and my November will be dedicated to the harvest of his first bird(s).
 
I messed this thread up on my first post:mad::eek:. I apologize to all for my confusion. I should've read the original post more closely. I'll go delete my posts that are in reference to a January gathering.......
 
@KB - Well then, start up another thread for the Jan hunt & bullshoot...That's the one I'm interested in!!! I just hope it doesn't quite grow into the massive fairgrounds dog-&-pony show the great Byrd speaks of... :D

I was starting to get kind of confused too...Good luck to all you Nov guys, I'll be chasin CO roosters closer to home at that time & maybe still dropping a few ducks over the dekes! ;)
 
Yes Sir, I will do that. I hope that lunch in January has high attendance and then we can just split up to hunt. These guys are going to be hunting when a cold beer at the end of the day is very welcome. I like the cold of January...it makes a warm lunch feel like a cold beer on a hot summer day.
 
I think everything will be fine as long as everyone uses their heads and dont get stupid safety is the number one objective

This is why I'll only be hunting with 2 or 3 other guys. I can keep an eye on everyone's barrels that way. No way in hell I'm hunting with everyone that's coming. That was never the objective. I've wanted to meet more people from this forum for awhile b/c they seem like a great bunch of guys.....not b/c I wanted to play matchmaker for a 20 person bird hunt. Just a friendly social with gentlemen (well some of them) from all over this fine country:cheers:
 
I totally agree I would like to hunt with a few other peaple I would say 6-7 at most that way I can pinpoint who shot at me
