Well just got back from the game. That 5 wins in a row over Texas, and a BIG 12 Championship.

We did not run the ball at them in the first half, but we got back to K-State football in the 2nd half.

It was an awesome night.

There is an idea. Play 18 holes with the setter hunting quail. Bound to shoot lots of birds :)

OAP I never said Kstate would run the table. I said it would surprise me if they did. What I did say was if they did they would be in the BCS titile game. Well we all know now that statement was true. You said there was no way Kstate would go even if they went undefeated. You said a one loss SEC team would go ahead of them. We all know that was BS just like I said at the time. I will be rooting for Notre Dame for the first time in my life in the title game. I also will be rooting for Ou to beat the mighty AandM that beat bama in their house. By the way A and M had been a mid pac b12 team for years.

Don't get your hopes up too high on OU beating A&M. As bad as the Big 12 needs the win I am afraid this one will get ugly early.

I think the Cotton Bowl will be a good game. I'm not to sure that Ou may not win. Ou only has 2 losses with both being teams in the top 5 in the BCS. They have played a lot stronger schedule than Texas A@M. The b12 only has one cupcake (Ku) versus 5 or 6 at the bottom of the SEC. It will not be a blowout that I'm pretty sure of.

bowl games are notorious to have bad match ups. Getting razor sharp after a month of drills is hard. It's also hard to get excited about a bowl game short of your expectation. Should be lots of offense. With a lucky break here or there to make an Oklahoma victory, by 3 points or less. Because we know "big game" Bob, wins games, just not national championships, at least not with his recruits! Someday the guidy " Johnny football ", phenomenon will turn into a pumpkin. Heisman trophy winners are usually bad in bowl games after the crowning.

you definately need to take your straw hat off you beat your head way to hard on that wheel that conference is so freaking weak worst ive seen it in years wake up my gosh do you not see who has won the title 7 years straight and getting ready to do it again lo get your head out of the corn field you def dont know football or how to pick a winner .Do you really think if kstate won out and oregon, bama, notre dame went undefeated they would let that team play for the national title lol if you do your in a dream world good luck heres another secret for you midwest dreamers kstate gets there ass knocked off to at the fiesta bowl that they dont deserve to be in lose to a non ranked team how sad

OaP us said that a ONE LOSS SEC team would go ahead of an undefeated Kstate. And to answer another question, Kstate was going to finish ahead of Notre Dame if they both had went undefeated. It was going to be close with Oregon.

after all the talk last year you still dont know who i pull for i dont need to pull for them because they are constantly putting hardware on the shelves national title after national title they know how to get it done and forum theres a reason why they get the cream of the crop talent lol some people just dont get it a cotton bowl game just dont cut it in bama they have his ass run out of town how many titles are sitting in manhatten??? what i thought (ZELCH) keep on beating your heads against the wall you will always play in the cotton bowl or even better yet the lovely missouri year end year out alomo bowl ROLL TIDE

Looks like your prediction that Kstate would always play in the cotton bowl was as accurate as me saying Ou would beat Notre Dame.

I mean how do they play in the fiesta bowl after losing to a unranked team they just are not that good, they over played all year struggled with no name teams at first of year just way over rated i would love to have seen them play lsu at death valley play georgia on there home ground play texas a and m which i think is a legit top 5 team in the country im telling you load up on oregon they will cover, buy yourself a new shotgun!!

I don't see any Big 12 team with a quality win this year. I know, I know, Bill Snyder walks on water, heals the sick and raises the dead but if OU doesn't make three unforced errors K-State doesn't win that game. Film don't lie. I can't recall one quality non-conference win for a Big 12 team this year. Notre Dame didn't have to do anything special to beat OU, they played their game and OU was unable to stop them or to mount any real threat to take control of the game at all. Good solid, fundamental football was all it took, no heroics needed. A&M can prove something with a win, whereas OU just maintains status quo.

Film don't lie. .

Neither does the scoreboard.

You can look back and think shoulda, coulda, woulda on that game between the Sooners and the Cats...
And the final result was that the Sooners LOST and the Cats WON.

Here. I'll type it some of the others on these threads can read it.

Yeah, yeah, I can here everyone saying "computers don't determine anything, newfangled technology, nerds don't know anything about football, blah blah blah."

Two interesting stats from the article I took.
1. 9 out of ten Big 12 teams are going to a bowl. That tells me there are too many bowls. :)
2. 9 out of 14 SEC teams are going bowling.
3. One Big 12 team had a losing record. KU. Five SEC teams had losing records.
Just sayin'.
I think that the top 2 or 3 SEC teams are more then likely better then the top 2 or 3 Big 12 teams as a whole, but top to bottom, the Big 12 is better.

But who knows.

You missed my point completely. The scoreboard may not necessarily "lie" but there are times when it doesn't tell the whole story. You have to "watch the game". If you watched the film and broke it down, you realize that beating a team that made as many unforced errors as OU did isn't much to brag about. I understand that is KSU's "quality win" but OU is more about reputation and tradition not performance. Sorry but I still think the Big 12 is chasing the SEC and the Big 10.

The b10 is horrible. There is no way the b12 is chasing them. As far as Ou beating A and M it probably isn't going to happen. Three of Ou's starters have been arrested since the regular season ended, and more than likely they won't be playing.

A&M has just been an average Big 12 team, and going to the SEC did not change that, other than in the eyes of SEC fans.
