Ever notice how right before bird season really gets going there are more "spats" on the forum? It seems guys are a bit more jumpy this time of year. Is it the hunting trip budgeting arguments with the wife? Is it because warming up on doves always crushes our confidence and maybe even bruises our egos?:D

I remember a nasty thread just before last fall, eventually the level-heads in the group came in and said thing to the effect "I think everyone needs to just get out and shoot something". Sorry, just had to point it out b/c there are a couple of pretty dramatic threads in progress right now:cool:

Time to lighten up and finalize plans for the fall guys:cheers:

LOL....yep.

This has been going on for the past month or so. Seems folks are on edge a bit more than usual. I'd say this normally goes on in the winter months when hunting season is coming to an end and we have nothing else to do but nit pick and argue with one another.

Maybe it has something to do with the nasty summer we've been experiencing. Things are cooling off and I'm still telling this summer it can kiss my @$$ and good riddance:D

KB, where are those dramatic threads? I want to stir up trouble! I'm going to post contrarian views no matter what those dramatic posts say!! I want some action!!! I want to offend as many forum members as possible !!!! I want to be as pissy as possible!!!!! <Uh oh. Deep insight: I need to shoot something.> :p

I don't like stirring stuff up either:rolleyes:

Hey maybe we could talk about wolves or gun control, I am sure there are parts of those topics left to uncover:eek:

Or maybe the russians killing cappercaille, that thread got killed before it reached it's full potential. I think I was taking on half of the forum on that one.

Go ahead, "Make my day!" :) Us Mods are on top of those type of threads and will delete 'em faster than you can get your gun up on a flushing rooster! No place on this forum for "pissin' contests". Keepin' it civil makes for a much better forum.

Sounds to me like everyone is just getting an itchy trigger finger before the season starts. :D

LOL.......Ahhh yes-yes! Who could forget that wonderful thread. That was impressive work on your part carp. Your stamina and dedication to making your point earned you a 10 out of 10 that day.:D:cheers:

Hey KasBrit, I'm not sure about the dove season "misses" causing "pissy pants". I was out hunting tree rats and missed my limit within 45 min. Dang things where 10-20 ft in front of me and I still missed missed missed! It sounded like something out of an old Vietnam movie back there! Absolute terrible shooting on my part!

Anyway, I'm still in a good mood (despite the headache and ringing ears) and not looking to argue. Maybe your theory only applies to doves:confused::D:cheers:

As my Sainted Father told me years ago . . . "Son, you better learn to get glad in the same pants you got mad in or your day is going to be unnecessarily uncomfortable." I took that to heart & avoid those things that may piss me off.

I totally agree.

I haven't observed too much "pissy pants" behavior. Maybe I'm just insensitive.

Keep up the good work, mods! I would hate to see things get outta control around here.

GO K-STATE!!!:D
