Gettin the Milo Stripped for Hunters

Very good. Does your GPS allow you to leave strips that are able to be harvested without much bother ?

How does the milo compare to corn income wise ?

Looking good

We have always planted milo, but just used it as food plot, never harvested. Looks good! sdviking

Jusr the push of a button and autosteer kicks in. Milo is .20/bushel less and about half the yield as corn so thats why nobody grows it around here. And you have to haul it 45 miles one way at .25/bushel

Another one bites the dust:)

I love hunting milo strips. Hopefully our guy will have some of it cut by the time we get there. Last year he had about 300 acres in it or so that was full of birds.

I was just listening to the ag report this morning and they were talking about how the sorghum export market was booming. Maybe that will make it more competitive with corn.

Jim, he's gone along with his posts. Lazer zapped him! We don't need that kind of crap on this site.

This crop will go to Poet in Mitchell and they will blend it with corn ethanol.

Awesome, in a previous job, I used to do a lot of business with Poet. That's cool that they use milo in the capacity, they were always very progressive in their processes/technology compared to other ethanol production companies, including the first full scale cellulosic ethanol plant. http://poet-dsm.com/liberty

Uguide, How long have you been farming? Looks like a lot of fun, love the equipment. Should have been a farmer. Enjoying the posts and updates from your camps. You almost have me pulling the trigger.
