Caring for kangaroo leather boots

Just got a pair of Cabela's Kangaroo upland boots. Any suggestions as to what to use on them for leather protection ? Thanks.

Silicone spray. Used by Browning forever. Waterproof, ( sort of), and conditions to keep it pliable. I hope you got toe caps, the kangaroo does not do briars well, and get worn at the toe.

I'm not sure about kangaroo (illegal in Ca go figure?) but I love saddle soap and obenhauffs. Use the soap to clean boots and apply a liberal amount of the obenhauffs to water proof and condition the leather.

I have had Kangaroo boots for years. You will love them at the end of the day, if you do alot of walking. I would use a good water repellant and oil them often. Toes do wear pretty fast

Don't use oil's of animal fats. It rots the stitching. Use a good silicone spray. That's all you need. I have had Kangaroo leather boots for years. I love them. I wish Browning still made their green upland boots in kangaroo leather. My next pair will be a pair of green cabelas upland in Kangaroo leather.

Obenauf's will not harm the stitching.

Another excellent product is Kennetrek Boot Wax. They specifically state that it will not harm the stitching or the rubber rands on some boots.
