2 Bald Eagles Killed In Kansas

Some People are just idiots!!! You would think in such a rural area that someone will know something. People talk and I hope they or them bragg about it and get strung up!!

I hope they find the people who did this. It really hurts responsible hunters and we all get painted with the same brush when something like this happens.
 
very,very UnAmerican to do this. this type of person should have citizenship revoked and then beat the crap out of and sent to pakistan and dropped into the heart of taliban country if they want to disrespect our National symbol like that. vey sad, such a majestic bird
 
You have to wonder what is going through the heads of these kinds of idiots. The culprit should be considered a terrorist and sent to Guantanamo.:mad:
 
Pretty hard mistake an eagle for any kind of legal target, let alone two! We seem to recycle knuckleheads every few years. Of course it has nothing to do with sport hunting, but put a gun in hand, add a despicable act and the public has trouble with the difference.
 
thats pretty odd that 2 bald eagles were shot in almost completely opposite corners of the state. I'm sure they'll find these people and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law
 
i cant beleive it ive seen people shoot owls and other birds which makes me angry and they were never invited to go hunting again ,but to shoot a bald eagle that takes some serious balls and ignorance wow!

Perhaps these guys have forgotten what it is to be an AMERICAN. I think a tour of duty on the front lines overseas would wisen them up a bit:) Maybe then if they make it back they will remember and cherish what it is that the Bald Eagle signifies. What a bunch of sorry SOB's. I hope they get theirs.

Report in local paper was it was a mile south of the Wilson/Montgomery county line. I lived the first 18+ years of my life a half mile north of that line. Probably driven by where it as shot a thousand times, due to haivng driven all those roads a thousand times.

Another article said both the eagles that were shot were juveniles, lacking the white head. Not an excuse for anybody, just adding that information.
 
Its a bird (well 2 birds). On the list of stuff I care about this falls about at the bottom. Predators need to be controlled within reason. Theres too many avian predators around.
