Just my opinion.
Its a damn bird. The govt will take this more seriously and probably invest more manpower and money investigating this than they will a case of child abuse or something of the like.
I just think its stupid how we misallocate our judicial resources and place importance on trivial things.
Yes a Bald eagle is a majestic animal and should be respected, but there should not be this overwhelming outpouring of hang the guy who did this. Bald Eagles are off the threatened and endangered list, theres plenty of them around now.
Where are these same people when a child goes missing or a child lives in an abusive household, etc?
America needs to readjust its priorities.
Just my viewpoint from the opposite side of the fence. Besides highly publicizing things like this helps non hunters to paint all hunters or rural residents with a broad brush.
