Yeah there have been quite a few hunters out this way this year. My season's been decent also. I've been concentrating alot on working with my dog so birds are kinda a bonus. He's done well with both pheasants and quail. This is his first season I've been able to hunt him. But all in all I've gotten probably 13 pheasants and 6-7 quail.

Who did you get your pup from? I might know him or a relative of his.

The person I bought my shorthair from was raised in Great Bend and took me hunting there the weekend before Thanksgiving. We spent our time hunting Rush County as well.

The numbers are down but I had a decent season. Had to work hard for the birds (lots of hunters out there this year).
