My group and I are headed back to NE Montana for one last go at the longtails. Dec 11th, wish there were a little snow cover on the ground. Looks like it is going to be a whole lot of educated Roosters in a lot of brown and tan cover. Here's hoping. This will be our last trip of the year...

and I am still seeing Phez running all over the place. On the way to work, On the way home, as I am going for groceries. Tough, tough birds. Wish I could set up a feeding station for them. Even saw one old warrior, feathers all puff up in the cold.......poor guy lost his entire tail. Hope...

No...I did fine...three roosters down. Froid the dog.....he got skunked prior to getting the 1st bird down. Quite the aromatic truck ride home.

guys who will open up in Montana. Remember....any bird that is not quite fully colored should be left alone for at least one more full week........ :D:D :p just kidding...have at er....good luck, be safe and enjoy the hunt. Had a good opener in Sask...check out Canada section.

For the Phez Opener. I am almost as excited as the three guys are....thinking that a free meal in on the table. I know that this isn't a Phez picture...but it was pretty exciting
