yea right and I suppose accidents never happen and if you say no your full of it
Absolutley want to hear wha anyone wants to in put. Post the rules . Any one have an Idea of a local? or want to host. ? I Think Zeb has some ideas we can entertain as well.I just put on an event like you are talking about for PF. The event was a absolute blast. I have a copy of the rules if anyone is interested. We made it interesting we had 1 each Pheasant,Quail, and Chukar. It looks like it will be a yearly or bi-yearly event. It was all for fun and bragging rights plus we made a little for PF.

Sounds like fun........ Keep the E-collars at home.
Let's see trained dogs.

running all over the state- that seems a bit heavy
I'll admit- 40 acreas isn't too big- but really- if one can't keep a dog in then he shouldn't run-
I might show up if there aren't too many rules. Not into the formal field trial thing.
Whoa....I hope our meet and greet in Dodge doesn't become this difficult![]()
Who cares if a guy brings a dog w/ a collar? Is this for some sort of large jackpot or national breeder's title?
If anyone ever wants to put something similar and SIMPLE together where everyone shows up wearing what they want to, count me in if it is "centrally" located in a place like NE or IA. If people want to have their dogs on shock collars, cords, pulling sleighs.......it doesn't matter to me. I doubt a huge # of people would be willing/able to show up anyway.
FCSpringer,
Don't you live on the S side of MN?
This a great idea guys, but the thread is called "uph gun dog challenge" not "uph field trials". Ken I like your relaxed attitude, but some of the pointer guys seem a little up tight. Everyone holds their "gun dog" to different standards. You guys with finished dogs aren't scared of losing to a meat dog are you?
