Naming My New Dog

Okay guys, now that I have a new female Brittany on the way I'm trying to decide on a name. I was thinking something French since Brittanys originated in France. Also something short and unique. For some time I have thought that if I got another Brittany I'd name her Brie. Brie is a region in France noted for a cheese by the same name. Too cheesy? No pun intended! :) Lately I've been leaning towards Bree, which is a variation of Brie. So with Bree as the call name the registered name would be Staley's Dakota Breeze.

What do you guys think? I'm wide open to suggestions.

I like Brie - doesn't sound like NO, Stay, Sit, Come - all the dog essentials that are repeated most of the dog's life!

Good luck with your new friend. Nothing like a new dog - it will help with some of the sting of losing your friend.

Good looking dog!

Very nice looking pup! I had a dog with similar facial markings, and named her Slash. Brie is nice, and short.

If I stay with the name Dakota Breeze I think I'll go with the spelling of "Bree" for the call name. Brie or Bree, same pronunciation.

Basically just looking for some feedback on the name. The wife wasn't crazy about it at first but has come around. And like jonnyB said it doesn't sound like any of the normal dog commands.

Zeb congrats on your new dog , might fine looking dog . How old is she ?

Thanks. She is just about 6 months. Can't wait to get my hands on her. I've been missing the dog licks the past month.

Congratulations on the new good looking pup and I think Bree sounds like a great name for her.

I also try to stay away from the names that are similar to sit, stay, here, no, rooster, whoa, etc... Isaboue (not sure on the spelling) is the French version of Isabel short for Belle. I know I know it is a stretch but he is asking for name idea's.

Glad you found a pup George. I think Bree is a great name for her.
