what was your first shot gun?

Remington Model 11 20ga from my grandfather and Winchester Model 1897 12ga from my great aunt. Still have both, and take them out for a hunt about once a year.

H&R 20ga. Still have it, it does duty as home defense now, just so she won't feel neglected.

That lasted me a year, then Dad bought me an H&R16ga (that started my 16ga addiction) and a 12ga 870 Wingmaster that was my first "real" (as in more than one shot) shotgun - that one is for sentimental reasons usually my "opening day" gun.

Brand X .410

It wasn't even mine, but it was an old break action single shot .410 with an exposed hammer. Shot my first pheasant, a hen, at 12 with it. The first gun I owned was a Stoeger o/u 12 ga. Still have it as a back up in case my second gun fails.

I had a rabbit gun

22 over 410 Savage w a plastic stock. Got pretty good @ getting off 2 with one in the gun and 1 in my teeth. Good memories.

Remington 12g Wingmaster with a 30inch stretch barrel I bought from my uncle 20yrs ago and it came with a Sears and Roebuck(sp?) gun cleaning kit in a orange metal case which I still have.

single shot .410 20 years ago. Christmas present from the folks. Been hunting upland birds since the age of 6 in kansas. I am from the NE corner.

39 years ago I bought a Mossberg 20ga bolt action with a three shot clip and I thought it was a Poly Choke but after reading a previous posters message it might have been a Electro-choke. I can't remember and don't remember what happened to that gun. When I was 17 I bought a used Remington M-870 12ga with a plain barrel. I thought I had the world by the tail then. My tastes have improved and the cost of the guns has increased dramatically since then. I think I bought that first shotgun for $47.00 at the local Ace Hardware Store.:):):)

Mine was a hand me down from my father the old Mossberg 20 ga bolt action with the poly choke, I can't remember what the model number was. I do remember it being quite heavy to carry at 11years old.

My first shotgun was a Ted Williams 12ga pump with Dial-A-Choke (Dial-A-Prayer). I believe it was bought at Sears. I traded it for a SxS 20ga off brand. The old Ted Williams is the only gun I have gotten rid off and I really regret it. I do still use the 20 ga occasionally.

mossberg 20 ga bolt action with a 3 shot clip and 3 chokes ,at that time they had the threads on the outside of the barrel my dad got it and a box of shells for $13 in 1953.

12 gauge Wingmaster,What a workhorse!

11-48 Remington 20ga. with a poly choke, bought from an ol uncle in '60.

Worked all summer raising hogs to get the money to buy that little bird buster.
