UPH MN Hunt?????

I am having a tough time findIng a place with enough birds to commit to us.

Glendorado in Princeton can accommodate us for $19.50 per bird. I have shot there. Very nice people. The grounds are fair, not great, not horrible.

Your thoughts?

Im open. Sand Pines in Avon said he could as well. I have never been there. $16.75 Bird 2 hens and 1 rooster.

That sounds reasonable. Easy access off 94 too. Did you ask what the fields are like?

I am calling some more places now.

Hope this works for everyone. I wanted to get something booked because birds are starting to get hard to find.

I am bringing my springers but wouldn't mind running the setter a little either.

Major Avenue, Hutchinson area has birds, mainly chuckers and hen pheas.

This is closer than Avon for us in the metro area - approx 48 miles west of Minnetonka.

Hope this helps.

We can try that next time but I have us all set for Sandpines. Did you want to come? Who ever wants to go just needs to let me know sooner than later because Im leaving out of town for some time. I hope some more people can make it.

Tbear, I'm not sure at this point if I can make it and probably won't know until the end of the month. I've got so much windshield time in the next few months I'm not sure another 350 mile round trip is in the cards. I'm headed to Kansas City for Pheasant Fest in a week and a half and then I've got 5 NSTRA trials from mid-March to the end of May and a couple of those are 500 miles one way.

If I do can I use chukars for my birds? That's what 3 of my 5 trials will be using so I'd like the dog to get on some prior to the trials. Besides those chukars are better eating than pheasants. They are very tasty.

Zeb, We can figure it out once you know if you can come. I did ask him about chukar and he is curently out. But who know by then. Hope you end up being able to make it. Good luck with all the trials.

What are the dates for this event?

Thanks,
