This is Heartbreaking...

I know that this isn't necessarily "bird dog related" but I thought that I'd post it anyways.

Sad, and powerful at the same time.

"This was the funeral of Petty Officer Jon Tumilson, one of the recently fallen US Navy SEALs. His dog laid by his side for the entire service and followed the casket when it was moved."

A loyal dog for a brave American.

Doesn't have to be bird dog related Sir. That's something that is very appropriate to share w/ this group. May the young man rest in peace, his family find some solace, and the dog.....I must admit I shed a tear for him this morning and I hope he finds some peace as well.

A dog will be faithful to its' master as long as it is possible. Yes, they mourn our passing, the same as we mourn them on their passing........Bob

It reminds us to stop and say "Thank You" for all the brave young men & women serving in our military. And it also reminds us of how dedicated and loyal our four legged friends are. If you don't get a tear in your eye looking at those photos you better check your pulse.

Two friends of mine that are brother and sister are currently in the army, and I keep intouch with them quite often. They said that the outfits they are with have at least 2 dogs with them all the time as mascots and whatever else they need them. They told me they have been used to find bombs and any type of explosive plus being used as search and rescue for wounded and injured. Plus theyare used as guard detail with the MP's.

On the bright side, there was a video going around of a returning soldier being greeted by his great dane who had obviously missed him.

Picture tells the story!!!!!! How does someone express gratitude for service after the ultimate sacrifice ? I have no words after that picture!

Yep, big guy has a tear...WOW; must have been a great man and loyal master to his best buddy.

Sometimes we forget

I posted last week about my buddy's dog being hit and killed by car and how heartbroken he was at this occurence.

As, you are all aware, our loyal pets suffer loss as well when we pass.

My heart and prayers to the family and friends of the young serviceman.

And a very well intended "atta boy, it'll be alright" to his loyal K-9 companion.
