Hunted a hour with my friend on his private ground. He ran his gsp and vdd while a ran 2 of my weims. Pictures are from after we limited out. We probably saw a 100 birds out in this lighter cover. They have a couple small corn food plots and birds were all around them. We started out in heavy cattails and since I couldn't see where he was I called his cell and said I can't hunt this shit I am going around. After he never saw a bird in there and I already shot 2 he knew I was on to something.

After limiting out i was walking the road back and got this pic of Reba on point on a rooster. He flushed as I was trying to get video.

Roux is very agile, rested my gun by the bird and stepped back to take the picture and there she was sitting admiring "her" bird.

No pheasants yesterday, 15 degrees, we got icy beards. Dutchess did find a rabbit skin/fur for a snack though, saved me a piece of jerky.

Jeez, I need to take my dog. She hunts hard, but gets distracted. The planted ones we get here are all shot up, guys follow the chicken truck, down the road from me. We didn't find any timberdoodles till after season again. Hard to not pull on them when they scare the shit out of you.
