New guy here. Live in Oklahoma now but grew up in South East Kansas in the 70s and 80s when quail hunting was good. Have been blessed to hunt pheasants in Kansas since 1971 and also a few hunts in Washington, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Appreciate the information and entertainment this site provides concerning my favorite subject.

Welcome to UPH! If you like pheasant hunting you've come to the right place. I take it by your handle that you are a 16 ga. guy? I shoot a 16 ga. Citiori for 80% of my pheasant hunting.

Welcome to UPH, please feel free to join in the discussions. We are a fun group of guys and gals, that are addicted to Upland hunting. Welcome once agian.:)

16 ga.

I've got an old long barreled Fox I used for 30 years but doesn't see much action anymore. Mostly shoot a Sportsman 48 in 16 ga. these days. Points like it is part of me. Being a SxS guy I'm on the hunt for another double, maybe even an O/U. 16 ga. of course!

I'm trying to sell a BSA Classic 16 ga. SxS. Check the Classified Ads.

Welcome to the site sir! I wish they still made 16 gauge, I think that's the perfect size for upland hunting.

Wildcat, where have you been? :) They still make some 16's. Browning makes a limited run of Citori's in 16 ga. most every year. And there some others out there too. Not many, but some. I agree, the 16 is about perfect for upland hunting. My 16 ga. Citori weighs about the same as a 20 ga. and handles like one.

I had no idea Browning still made limited runs of 16 ga. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

Welcome to Uph, hope you drop by often.........Bob

Thanks for joining highbrass16. Was down in Kinsley, KS 2 years ago chasing the Rio's around. Was my first trip to Kansas. Visited Glen Elder and a few other spots. Kansas is a great state.
