Hello, My name is Nick. I have been hunting since about 12. I have two Labs that are a pleasure to hunt over. I used to go to the western side of Iowa to hunt but there are very few birds there anymore. For the last 7 years I have been hunting the Slope and Hettinger counties in North Dakota. Thanks, Nick.

Welcome to UPH Nick, Are you a 12 gauge purist like many midwest hunters are? I'm a small bore guy I find them a lot of fun to shoot......Bob

Welcome Nick, post often as the people on this sight are great. Glade to have you on board.:)

Thanks for the welcome, I do shoot a 12, but I also shoot a 20 gauge. But my favorite is my dads old Remington Sportman's 16 gauge. It's three years older than I am and it shoots great.

Welcome to the board, Nick. Keep shooting that 20 & you'll end up addicted like the rest of us small-bore fans.

Welcome to the forum; enjoy the information and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Nick, there are several guys on here that shoot 16's. You will find them very informative about most other things also. A lot of them live in or around your state............Bob

Nick, Welcome.

Welcome to the site:thumbsup:

Welcome to UPH Nick. Hope you find it useful. Plenty of knowledgeable guys on the forum and great guys to hunt with on the forum board.

Nick, you are right about Iowa. I went there in 2004. It was somewhere around the Amana colonies. In 3 days 3 of us only got 9 pheasants. It was VERY WET there that year though. The guide service we used wasn't very swift either.
