ND,SD,MT Report

I hit ND and the bird numbers were up. I was hunting south east of the belt on a fringe area and had good weather and good groups of birds.

Next I hit SD with Carptom1's group. First of what an awesome bunch of guys with really great dogs. We had three great days of hunting.

Finally Quail hound and his Dad came to MT for a few days. Public land was tough and private land was better. We walked about four times as much as the Dakotas. The consensus is that the hatch was good but there was heavy mortality in September for the young birds. I've hit all three states the last three years and feel fortunate to live here and try and get out as much as possible as our Dogs get old much too soon. Hope every one has a good season.

The Life

I appreciate the kind words, Robert we were getting into them on that stuff we looked at after our Mexican food lunch, unfortunately Lilah jumped into a sharp object and we had to make a dash to the vet, six stitches later we are back home. 7 days no hunting for Lilah looks like that pup will have step up to the plate.
