Kansas heat

They are calling for a heat index of 114 this afternoon near KC, I may melt!

I couldn't believe the heat yesterday and today is supposed to be about the same.

Yesterday was my wife and I's 15th anniversary. Went to Topeka for dinner and the truck broke down. Radiator hose spewed all of our coolant on the ground. Got that fixed and came home to a broke down A/C unit. I HATE the summer heat!!! I beg my wife to consider moving to a nothern state, but she hates the winter as much as I hate the summer.......come on fall!!

Wow, I was feeling bad for myself for having to change a tire on my truck a minute ago, but I've got nothing on you! Sounds like a great anniversary , or at least a great reason not to go out to dinner on your anniversary next year!
Get all those problems with the truck worked out now so you don't lose any hunting time this fall! HAHA.

Wichita sets record high for second straight day!!!!! 109 Today!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

This august heat is putting a hurtin' on my pockets! Already had to replace 3 ac units for my investment properties:mad::mad::mad:

My family and I returned from vacation last Friday to find the inside of our house at 100.8 degrees, a terrbile thing to return to. We had a new AC put in Monday and everything is back to normal.

Heat index right now in Wichita is 114 degrees!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Greensburg is showing 109, Hays at 105......that's just too damn hot!
i suspect the dry land crops are pretty much toast?

To damn hot to even take the dog on a short walk, the sidewalk is burning his feet up. I'd take him down to the pond for a workout, but hell he'd probably just boil. 115 degrees is not fit for man nor beast!

Well, I'm in Austin and it is 84 degrees...a little less now that it is evening. I heard some elderly ladies walking by saying, "When is this summer ever gonna quit?" I laughed b/c it's so nice here now compared to back home. Oh well, they may come to KS someday and hear me complaining of the winter when it's only 20 degrees and there's been snow on the ground for a whole 3 weeks....that's nothing to these folks.

Oh, and I saw 2 young roosters and a hen flying across the interstate on my way up. I must have been about 50 miles south of Mason City, IA. First chicks I've seen this year.

KB you suck quit braggin about leaving this hotbox and get back here and suffer like the rest of us

Looks like you boys are finally in for a little break on the heat. May even get some rain. Enjoy!!!!
