Inside and Outside. My wife has the final say so in this area, I gave up after an extended trip away from home when on a deployment years ago. When I got home all six GSP's had pink toenails and were in the bed. Ruined my dogs, now they expect it! I don't allow them on the bed, but they do stay in the laundary room at night. They kennel up in the day, or with me at work/hunting. Trust me, the outdoor kennel I have could also double as a mother in-law addition.

Just make sure to never put the dog and the mother in law in the kennel together......

Would be so unfair to the dog! Hahaha!

I have 5 dogs and 2 of them are staying in the house all the time do to surgeries. Usually we rotate the dogs coming in the house so they all get a chance. The old dogs get to stay in at night in the winter.

Inside dog.

No category for Both? well both. I have grandma who sleeps on the bed with the wife. Then Odie is a floor guy, he only likes the floor. River well she is the end of the couch kid. I take turns. But all sort of are out side except grandma, some of the time. But the new building is well about 40 grand, and nicer then what I live in with in floor heat, Yada yada yada. So not really truly outside dogs. Call me a half breed mutt I guess LOL. But with long term plans deeply imbedded in the breed of my choice, Lets just say a dirt run outside the garage would not cut it. So I had to make some investment. Waaaaaayyyyy easier to care for the mutts. Now maybe someday I can build one for me LOL

Parker is yellow lab #6 for us and all have been "inside" companions. My "PairOfLabs" handle is light right now since we had to put down our 14.5 yr old Cody in August. Parker will be getting a "little buddy" pointing lab puppy around Jan. 1 from KB Kennels outside of Ft. Collins, CO (Keskam on this forum). The house rules are "not on the furniture" but OK if they sneak up on the bed--at least when it's cold.

nice looking dog. sorry to hear about Cody.

we are still sort of going back and forth about the furniture thing. I end up doing a lot of "paw wiping" and that seems to appease the wife most of the time. she says she doesn't like him on the couches, but when he cuddles up next to her I know she loves it. she tries her best to hide it though LOL!

well mine are both ,in and out my wife thinks im So mean , they stay out most of the time unless its cold or she thinks they need some extra attention, she has four weinner dogs that are hers and she has my two Ep's that are hers also ,LOL seems she thinks its ok that when i go to load up my big bad azz Male dog , that he rolls over and wants his tummy rubbed ,Good thing i hunt by myself most of the time would be kinda hard to explane . they are great hunting partners and defently part of the family . :D

Inside! All four of them! Two labs, English Setter and a GSP. My wife is awesome. Kept labs outside when I was younger. Nowhere near the relationship I have with my current dogs.

Inside I'm lucky to find room in the bed sometimes

leather couches, hardwood and tile floors are a dog owners best friend

I had to stop seeing a really good looking redhead (I love redheads) because she was allergic to dogs and wanted me to start keeping mine outside.:(

My Wife dumped an aspiring young lawyer from a VERY wealthy family, while She was in college.

Why? He hated dogs.

She decided on a poor hick with 2 dogs in the house or in the front seat of the pickup.

We have 3 dogs now, The Britt 38 pounds is on the Wife's lap in Her recliner and 80 pound Star is on my lap.
They all have beds in our bedroom and all are on the bed as my Wife gets up to go to work.
After a while We all go out to the ranch, the dogs run and play to their hearts content.
I have a warm up cabin at the ranch with a woodfire for those cold days.

I have outside kennels but for the most part my 2 wirehairs are inside dogs. They only are in outside kennels when we are away for the day or when we're at work. Although when I'm gone for work I'm gone for about 15 hours.

Amen! Sounds like my house with dogs in bed, hardwood/tile floors and leather furniture.

mine have their own dog beds on the floor and that's their favorite place to be. we don't let them on the furniture. my buddy and his wife used to have 5 GSPs in the bed with them! lol NO WAY Im not down with that.
