I usually have at least a 100 boxes on hand total between all gauges.

Don't like to fall below that. I have seen times when supply is threatened or prices climb through the roof. Just picked up another case of 20ga 2.75" 1oz heavy game loads in #6..$5.99 a box. Might go get some more. I need to raise my stock of 12ga. It's way too low for my liking. Need to pickup/reload 6-8 cases of them at least.

Most likely enough to last me forever, hunting only.

Bout 10 cases of asst. 16ga. hunting ammo(phez, dove, duck)
3 cases of reloaded 16ga. for fun clays.

3 cases of 20ga. heavy stuff
3 cases of 20ga. asst. clays/dove loads
1 case 20ga. duck loads

4 cases of 12ga. asst. heavy loads
2 cases of 12ga. clays/dove loads
3 cases of 12ga duck loads.

Bout 200 rounds of asst. buckshot/slugs for the above.

Enough shot, wads, hulls, primers to triple the above amounts.
Looking for more if the price is right:)

Loaded up 5 half-cases of 12 ...for the small amount of skeet I shoot these days that will last a season or two.
Not sure on hunting loads of 12 & 16...three half-cases each, maybe and assorted extras.
Not worried at all about shortages so as long as I have more than the season requires...all good.
Too many in actuality, I reckon.
Since I no longer swoon drunkenly to the 20, 28 or 410, I need to jettison those and a bunch of 410 cases.

As you can tell....I hate the modern term of a flat.
But, today is what it is.

I'll just commit to "an ample supply."

I see on the news this morning that there is a new push to ban all lead ammo nationwide. So what are we going to do with all the lead shells we have stock piled if this ever comes to pass?

Whatever's left over at the end of pheasant season. Just need a few shells for spring turkey. Next purchase will be 8s for dove.

I have enough ammo, that if my house and garage should ever catch fire the local fire department will have one heck of a fireworks show. The neighbors down the road will think that I have finally gone postal.

Give it back to them Air Mail(Grin)....J/K

Reckon I'll use-up mine hunting zombies. No limit, but you have to burn the harvest . . .

I was laughing about this just the other day. If, for some reason, I was every arrested and the police searched the house, I would come across as some psycho.

"When Law Enforcement Officials searched the premises, they recovered 9 weapons and over 3000 rounds of ammunition."

When I find a good ammo on sale, I buy some. I found .22 ammo last year for 70% off and bought a few big bricks.

I normally have a case or two of assorted 12 gauge shells. I will get more when I find a good deal.

You forgot the sensational "arsenal," "military," "semi-automatic," and "tactical camouflage" words. Not to mention your previous brushes with the law over parking tickets & library fines . . . oh, and "and animal control was called to contain the guard dog found in a metal cage on the premises" . . . "the animal became extremely agitated when he saw guns being carried." "The perpetrator also had a collection of razor-sharp knives. Authorities are awaiting analysis of what appeared to be blood stains found on several articles of clothing and cutting boards found at the residence."

Awesome!!!

Need to add "ex-military", "combat veteran", "neighbors describe him as a loner", and "according to UN-named sources, carcasses of dead animals are often seen on the property."

Nice touch, Thrasher. And ". . . frequently seen leaving the premises in the middle of the night with guns." "The official who disclosed this information declined to give his name because he was not authorized to do so."

You forgot to add that the neighborhood watch/TIP program played a huge roll in his capture. It was also found that he has a unlicensed hot rod car in his garage and had illegally planted a tree in his yard without a permit.
