How much scatter gun ammo do you usally keep on hand?

There is that . . . add the unlicensed dog, too . . . the man is clearly a domestic terrorist . . . Pheasants flee at his approach.

We shoot a of of skeet targets. I quit reloading years ago. Now I watch the promo sales in August, and fill a grocery cart once a year. I haven't yet had to pay more than $3.99/box, more like $3.49 most years.

Hunting loads I buy as needed, although I did pick up about 50 boxes of 1 oz. 20 ga @ $3.69 a couple years ago.

Don't forget that really strange incident last year when he got caught trapping pegions in the loft of the county courthouse for reasons still unknown.

Nice touch, Thrasher. And ". . . frequently seen leaving the premises in the middle of the night with guns." "The official who disclosed this information declined to give his name because he was not authorized to do so."

You forgot to add that the neighborhood watch/TIP program played a huge roll in his capture. It was also found that he has a unlicensed hot rod car in his garage and had illegally planted a tree in his yard without a permit.

This is hilarious!! I am going to put together an "article" and pass it around my classes at Kansas State University and gauge the reaction of the students. I will then tell them that the guy just an outdoorsman.

I was a certified 16 hoarding gauge nut in a different life and then I woke up one day and realized I'll never shoot all of the ammo, reload all of the hulls, use up all of the wads, and if everything goes non-tox I'm screwed (at least with the hunting ammo)

Now I'm a little more practical. I have roughly 60 boxes of reloaded 12 gauge target loads on hand, and a couple flats of factory 20 gauge target loads with some reloading to be done in the future. I have about three flats of 12 gauge pheasant loads only because I like the load so well, and the price was right. Kept a half a milk crate of various 16 gauge hunting loads, and some hulls and wads, but a mere shadow of what I had before.

If my son is in your class, he will know who you are describing:cheers:

I have enough ammo, that if my house and garage should ever catch fire the local fire department will have one heck of a fireworks show. The neighbors down the road will think that I have finally gone postal.

I have had the same thought. I probably shouldn't store it in the furnace room either! :D

I have about 4 cases of 16 ga. which I buy whenever I see it at a good price. Probably a case and a half of 12 ga. And about two cases of 20 ga.

You sir

Koja48,

You Sir are "POLITICALLY INCORRECT" & I am damned proud of ya!

If they ever haul me away I will probably be investigated as either a terrorist or arms runner.

I have somewhere around 10 flats of ammo & about 10 years worth of trap loads (in reloading supply form) that I have not got around to reloading yet.
I bought "in bulk" from an old timer giving up reloading due to age realetd infirmities.

Generally what's left at the end of pheasant/quail season. Just need a few shells for those spring turkeys. Come dove season, may need to buy some 8s.
