Thanks. One more item on my pile of "hearing protectors" I guess.
I started getting concerned when I ran my chainsaw. My ears used to buzz after I used it. Now they dont'... I dont want to do any more damageFunny story...
I've been active on this thread the past couple days. Went out back today to do some patterning. Only 7 1/2 shot, 2 3/4", 1200 fps shells, but I shot 9 of them before I realized I didn't put my hearing protectors in! If it was 3" shells, my ears would have been ringing. For me, it wasn't good that I forgot, but I also found it funny that it was right after being in this thread. I haven't done that ever before. Must be getting old.
I should mention when I was younger, I never used hearing protection when hunting -- only when target practicing. I was gifted a Remington 300 ultra mag by my father 20 some years ago, and that is one of those guns you really don't want to shoot without protection. That's when I started using active hearing protection even when hunting, and that carried over to shotgunning too.For me, it wasn't good that I forgot, but I also found it funny that it was right after being in this thread. I haven't done that ever before. Must be getting old.
