This is a picture of Gunne I took today while I was testing an old camera I have. He is 8 months old now and keeping him quiet is a chore. He is 22 inches high and 22 inches long as well as I can tell. He weighed 38 pounds a few days ago at the Vets....Bob

That's one sad looking dog, Bob. I feel for him and you both. But before you know it he will be up and hunting with you and all this will be a distant memory. Hang in there.

OMG Bob what happened I have been out of the loop for a little while the last time I read about Gunne he was out pointing birds? It appears i missed a major event in both of your lives.

He ran in front of a car at got clipped it the butt. He will be down for another 3 weeks at least. JMc Another snack, yesterday I was eating a banana and 6 Ritz Crackers for my 3PM snack. Guess who was right there eating his share of the banana........Bob

so bummed to have heard about this. Here's to healing quickly and getting out there soon! It's so tough to keep them down and quiet at that age. They just want to go go go. Best of luck with the recovery.

he's a good looker- low down injury he should recuperate fully

best wishes to him- may he once again have the wheels he was born with

if he was mine- he would live on my bed and I'd serve breakfast and dinner

Sorry to hear Bob I know you are taking good care of him, is Tony at least being nice :) to him as he recovers, I look forward to some great pictures and stories of his first season. Take care

he looks pretty relaxed though.. im sure he'll have alot of energy to burn come hunting season!! you watching those hunting channels to keep Gunne occupied?

Shadow, My wife would kill him and me if I did that. Before he broke his leg one morning he came out of his sleeping crate. Grabbed a rawhide chew. Ran down the hall to our bedroom. I here a scream and i run after him. Here is Gunne snuggled up to my wife in bed. Preparing to chew his rawhide while nice and warm in bed with her. She had him out of that bed so fast I could not even say "Gunne Down"...........Bob

Birdman, Gunne does not pay attention to TV. Tony he knows the hunting shows and he does watch. One time a Pheasant was really cackling on the flush take off. It was close to the camera and very loud. Tony went over and looked behind the tv set to see if it was there.........Bob

we have a king sized waterbed
mine like rawhide chews

ah- the 60" flatscreen has nice sound- couple times on a covey rise my little female will cock her head staring at the sceen

I had Gunne to the Vet this morning. Would you believe some how he took off his cast off Friday night in his sleeping cage. All in one piece. I couldn't get it back on so off to the Vets. Lucky they were open from 9-12 seeing it was a Saturday. The official stats are in now. He is officially 21-3/4 inches tall. 22 inches long. Without the cast he weighed 40 pounds even. Little devil is gaining weight without exercise. But he still looks skinny so I guess it is ok...........Bob

Bob,

How did Gunne get out of his cast? Did he chew his way out? I think that pup, might be part houdini. lol Thanks for the up date. I hope he gets the cast off soon.:)

No chewing, the vet did not wrap it very tight and in the Cone Collar he could on reach the very bottom. It too was not set exactly right. So he kept pulling it down a little at time I think until he got it off. Not a dumb dog.......Bob
