The weather for next 10 days is perfect. 80's during day and 60's at night. Lots of bugs and pretty dry right now for 10 day forecast.
My gut tells me 20 % of nests have hatched and so 80 % of hens still on nests or in process of renesting.
I also believe the usual peak hatch date of June 15 is pushed back by at least 2 weeks this year.
I can't speak for elswhere in the state but with the low humidity the chicks may sruggle to find dew. We are not there yet, but damper air or an inch of rain would be a good thing around here.
Was kind of bummed out, only saw two sets one hen had 6 little ping pong ball size little ones and the other only had one. It's drying out in Clark County too.
