The guy in the middle of the layed out birds, looks like Lord Ripon, Earl DeGray, member of the house of lords, but more importantly, considered to be the greatest wing shot of all time. On driven birds used three matched purdey hammer guns, and two loaders, reputed to on many occasions having 5 birds dead in the air at the same time.

That picture is from some school in London/Great Britten I believe. I would have to research it again. I'll try and find out...I just can't remember the name

Onpoint, since I have never had the pleasure to meet you, I do not know what you look like so would you please tell me which picture is of you.:):):):):)
Just kidding, I think, great pictures:coolpics: Oh the GCB put me up to this so ifin your upset, take it out on him, he can take the whippen better than me.

The pictures are fantastic. They sure put time and technology in perspective. Thanks for sharing.

I think I could easily match that. I would carry 4 dead birds in my left hand and whenever a bird flushed I would throw them in the air just before shooting the live bird... Even if I missed, I would still have 4 dead birds in the air at one time, and that's not bad.

My dog would like it.

The guy on the left in the "Babe" picture sure looks like Ted Williams! I love the old time pictures.

I doubt it is Ted Williams as there was a 23 year age difference between Ted and the Babe.

Seems like the pictures put something else into prospective. Some say we have more game in the present day then any other time in history, looking at these pictures makes me question that !
