C'mon Rain

I had been extremely dry until Sunday, June 1st. Dodge City had some heavy rains, 3-4" back on Mother's Day, but the Ponderosa received none of that. The last ten days has been really good with 3.15" total.

Here is my year to date:
April 24, 2014 0.25"
May 25, 2014 0.15" 0.40" YTD
June 1, 2014 2.05" 2.45" YTD
June 6, 2014 0.45" 2.90" YTD
June 7, 2014 0.15" 3.05" YTD
June 8, 2014 0.50" 3.55" YTD

I guess I'm in the hole, again. Here are my totals for 2014:

January .10
February 1.12
March .23
April .79
May 4.38
June 1.66

That's 8.28 for the year. Normal through May should be 9.2. June average is 4.39. We're still behind average. Still better than 11/12.

Man this one storm blew up and did not move. Just rotating in a circle. Looks like 8 inches already and it is still sitting there.

Great news! I hope the swing is starting. Still a ways to go this Summer, but I hope the hardships for the people making their living off the land begin to favor them. Hopefully then the hunters will return and give the local towns a nice boost.:10sign:

NE Kansas

We got 2 inches last night in Valley Falls alone. Have bean's already up that were planted last week. :D

Just hope my friends out west get some more rain. Driving to Bison on Saturday and will see how it looks out there.

Kick'em Up!

It really poured here last night. Not sure how much but the ground hasn't soaked it up yet.

Should at least have some good cover to walk.
