Catching up on pics.....

from the 2010 season. I know some of you haven't even got around to uploading your opener pics and when you do, we expect to see em':)

Half day WIHA hunt around home. Pulled up too early on the bird I'm holding:eek:

Just a cool barn

Not sure what happened to the barrell in this pic, but I'm pretty sure I can see the shell being ejected. My son was trying to get a pic of Bret killing a quail. The quail was "harmed" in this pic and my young GSP made a fine retrieve.

Great pictures! Did it take two retrieves on the one your holding? Or did the dog just find it and give you the " really, you expect me to do what?" look!

Actually all 3 of the dogs that were in the field were in on the point so when I shot the bird, they each picked up a piece b/c they were right on top of it. I know it sounds far "fetched" but 1 dog picked up the head, another the body, and a third the leg. I knew it was in pieces before it hit the ground b/c it flew apart immediately. We still ate the bird, but I won't let that happen again for the rest of the season:rolleyes: First quail next season.....no promises.

Excellent pics:coolpics:

Although I thought I would see some dogs of French decent instead of German:D

HA! I requested to change my screen name but couldn't get it done. When I first joined the site, I only had Britts. I now need to change it to Motley Crew b/c there are 3 different breeds in the kennel. I like it that way and intend to keep a diverse pen of dogs in the future as well. For now, I guess I'm just stuck w/ the screen name though.

Nice pics, i was gonna mention you may want to let a quail get out more than 5 feet before you shoot it. Lol.

Great pics bud! Glad to see that you and the family are able make some great memories and continue to do good afield as others report dismal findings. Keep it up and I can't wait until we can get together upon my return to try our luck at it. Just two more weeks and it is good bye Iraqistan and hello great state of Kansas.

Kansas brit,
I believe I have a match for that shotgun with the bent barrel, believe that is why I miss so much,.
GCB,
good picture, my only question is is that you standing to the left, if so I now know why the guys told me not to feed you or buy you all the beer you can drink. :)
Just kidding, well sorta, at least I can put a face with you now.
Jim
