Bad Storms

I hope all is well for you kansas folks. Looks like you had some very bad storms yesterday. Hail and Tornadoes. Lokks like Ne Kansas had a bad night.

It has definitely been an interesting couple of days in Ks. My parents live outside Perry and they had 2 tornados touch down there. We got lucky in Emporia, the tornado that hit Reading developed over us, I got a pic of the wall cloud that eventually developed into the tornado outside of my work. It was awesome to see, but I'm sure glad it decided not to come down then.

That's one wicked looking wallcloud! :eek: I hope anybody with family affected by the recent spawn of storms is doing alright.
 
My daughter just got back from Emporia State a day or two before the tornado. It started just 2 miles north of her campus. We're still dry, but I'll take the dry over the twister. Some of our people live in Reading. Just had a meeting with them last Wednesday. The town is using our office as a headquarters I hear. I'm a little surprised we weren't shipped up there to help. May come yet.
 
Praire Drifter, yeah it came down about 5 miles North of Emporia State and hit just outside of Americus, then it worked its way over to Reading.
 
OK for now

storm hit NE kansas earlier..mainly hail and a bit of wind but no twisters. I see a big cell W. of dodge and stuff blowin up all over KS & OK. Get your dogs inside if they are outside!
