3on3 FlusherVSPointer name your team.

Also, what is your stance on E-collars?

Actually Toad, the e-collar nazi has............been........BLOCKED:D so shock at will! I agree we should have a NE kansas hunt some weekend. It would surely be a hoot. I save all my time off for the fall and winter so I am ready on short notice.

I was going to Put V-John and Shadow on the same team, but I guess that can't happen now :)

I think the V-John, PrairieDrifter and I could hold our own in the pointing dog area.

We have enough Manhattan folks around here to field a couple of teams.

If you could put together an allstar team. Pointers, flushers what side and your picks.
It's my thread, so I'll set the rules...4 gun 3 dog teams. Duplicates allowed. No pros.... except your own.

My picks in no particular order......Spence, Carptom and Driggs. And me as the fourth gunner. BDC2 is going to have to set it out.

What do you think?

What state are we hunting in what type of cover? My team and choice of dog would really depend on that.

Every state, cover type, and birds encompassed by said team mates on all teams. We all have a lot of traveling to do come fall.:D:cheers:

If I have my choice it would be frozen cattails. I will take my chances in that type of cover. We train across the street in some gnarly stuff and my dog loves it. In fact we just got back in. I swear they are going to find me dead in some of those laid over frozen ones in SD some December.

a Tcub....congratulations!

I'm with carptom....sea of cattails, mountain of tumbleweeds, and plumthickets as far as the eye can see.

In all fairness everyone gets a vote, drop em in a hat...and take your chances.

I hunt a place I call "The Hills". It's something like 65,000 acres of cheat grass wasteland with hellishly deep draws dotted with some creosote scrub. If you hunt hard you can move a couple coveys of chukar and quail a day. We'll give that area to the pointy guys and us flusher types will take the thick stuff.:D

And congrats Tbear!

I know, I was just having fun... I don't use a collar anyway, but my dogs are also,,, well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have some Kansas River frontage. If you ever want to use that lab for his intended purpose, let me know and we can try to set something up.

I'm actually going to miss Shadow. Even though he hijacked my threads, I believe he probably does have pretty good dogs and he's probably a decent guy when he's not on the computer.

@ Setternut, I like the fact that Manhattan is well represented on this forum. It's a sign of quality. Speaking of NE Kansas, what about BritChaser?

High Tail setters, Reddog and the Justin/lab youngster from IA. Have not hunted with Reddog, but anybody who can cast and blast like me in SD deserves a spot on my team. I know the other two can shoot, go all day and have good dogs to "back-up" the Puds.
